Get an electronic buzzer, and install it on an analog port. Set that port to internal twin with the phones you want to ring, or put it in a hunt group.
Turn it off and then on. If no joy, turn off again, take battery out, put back in and turn on. Check your default ring (it could be set to "nothing," then volume won't help). Call your cell provider if they provide this model. They should know quickly what to do. If they don't solve it in 20 minutes, ask to "escalate the call." Don't be surprised if you get transferred (to someone smarter).

Those are dead pixels in the LCD, and have nothing to do with anything you did to it. It's a defective LCD panel and a lot of companies don't cover dead pixels. I don't know what the deal with Sony is so you should look at your warranty. If you're out of warranty, go to Console Zombie and order a new one for $49.99. It's easy enough to replace by yourself.

remove the battery and replace it after a minute. the phone should do a full boot. see if it works after. if nothing happens, you may just have to replace the battery. You don;t want to format anything unless you know how to reflash the phone.
This is the code needed to reset the Security code, nothing else, and it’s for your phone only. You type in the security codes (anything) until the phone request the Master code; when it does, leave your phone still, don’t use it for 15 minutes, then type in the Master code.
