When F4 is pressed? Would you try press it down and hold it before you even power up the computer and not let go until you see the interface of reformatting?

My hp laptop says no bootable device found. Was told it was the hard drive so I replaced it. The new hard drive says the same thing. What else could be wrong with it?

Try accessing the BIOs of the computer. The following are the three keys most likely to have the Hp computer go into the startup bios.

Look to see if you hard drive is listed and is the boot device.

  • Turn off computer.
    • Start computer continuously hit the F1 key
    • Start computer continuously hit F2 key
    • Start computer continuously hit esc
If the Hard drive is not listed then if you have the original disks for you computer try booting up with them. There may be other problems keeping the computer from finding the boot sector on your hard drive. The bios will give you some place to look. Do not use the option save you changes.

I have a V2 premier computer and I want to do a factory reset how do I do that

So a V2 looks to be a mix match of parts. Most factory resets are done from a F key pre OS boot. When the pc starts up and you see the logo screen "splash screen" of the motherboard manufacture or Bios screen if thats disabled look to the bottom right hand corner. It should display to hit F10 F11 or F12 to go to restore.

Need power button for v2 premier

In most cases you can't just get a button, you need to buy a new computer case. If you're handy, you just need to put the parts in the new case the same way they're in the old one.
To help, you can go to the manufactures web site and get a manual to help.
A new case can be purchased from for as little as $20

Trying to restore factory settings but dont know what "F" command to use

F-disk will take a look at your hard drive, show you the partitions etc. It will facilitate your reformatting the drive. This is NOT A TOOL for the casual user. I suspect this not the tool for you. I suspect the original software is on your 'D' drive and that is the way to get back to day one, not using F-disk and Format (DOS programs/commands). If you proceed with the F-disk tool, you will likely loose your ability to easily restore your drive, including your official licensed copy of your operating system.

Please go to the manufacturer's web site and look for a 'restore' procedure before you do anything else.

Recovery pro lost power during my recovery of origonal settings

You can still install windows xp without the recovery disc. Just buy a windows xp installer then download the v2 premier driver in the net.
