Question about Televison & Video
Dark vertical lines apearing when screen on a white or light backgroung I've tried my manuals troubleshooting section but nothing seem to work to resolve this problem My areal is a freeview set up in the loft Samsung LN-S4041D purchased in Feb of '07. Two almost verticle fuzzy, grey streaks of slightly different sizes appeared on the left half of the screen about 3 weeks ago. The most prominent one is approximately "1" wide and starts at the top of the screen, descending two thirds of the way to the bottom with a slight curve. Their shapes do not change. The second, smaller one is a lighter shade of grey; almost an 'echo' of the larger streak. . Both appear as if they are dirt on the screen, but I have cleaned it with a recommended product. They are not visible when graphics are displayed. They are most visible if the subject matter is simple, such as a landscape with blue sky above and very little detail below as in a beach scene. They are also not visible if the subject is very busy, as in an extreme close up of a brocade cloth in high def.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
