the water connections, I've got the water supply on, but there are two lines going into the fridge (Ibelieve for the ice and the cold water) another going to the bottom of the fridge (?) and another which is connected to nothing in the fridge. I replaced the water valve, forgot to mark the lines and were they go.

  • gerrywyso Dec 30, 2010

Neither one! what came out was 197D187G003, the replacement is WR57X10022. Four connections excluding the water input, I got the cold water on correctly, it has a bigger line than the rest. Opposite the water input from the wall is another connection with an orange connector, on the other valve is three connections, one for cold water (got that one) a white ice connection and a dark connector one the bottom.

The valve P/N is WR57X10022, it has two seperate blue valves, one with the input from the water feed, and the other output has an orange connection on it. The other blue valve has an output for the cold water - got that one its bigger than the others, an ice output and a black/brown connector.

It worked, thanks Rich! I should have marked everything before I tore into it.

Before replacing water valve open open back panel disconnected water line of water dispensser and tell some 1 to press water actuator on dispensor and check water pressure from it. If its slow then it can be valve or it can be filter housing. Repalce both if confuse.

Where are the duel water inlet valves located on ge fridge arctic profile

unless you have a water dispenser, top mount refrigerators usually only have a single inlet water valve. Either way, the valves will be located in the back on the machine and covered by the lower portion cover, but will have a small area for the water line to hook up. Just remove the lower panel in the back and you will be able to see it

What you think is probably correct. Water valves can seep water and freeze the fill tube. Remove the ice maker and the fill tube remove ice from the fill tube and replace the water valve.

No filtered water

More than likely you need a new water valve in the rear. You can test this by going to the back of the fridge and taking off the rear panel then remove the water line going under the fridge to the bottom of the door. This works great if you can get help. Just have the other person pull on the hose going in the bottom of the freezer door to help dentify the right one. Once the correct line is removed from the valve, have your teamate push the water paddle in and see if any water comes out of the valve itself where the line was. GE water valves do go bad quite often.

Ge fridge, water and ice on the door ,, all of a sudden the waterstopped working on the door ,, but it still makes ice

There is a double water valve in the back of your frige that your water supply connects to at the bottom. You will need to replace this valve. It will have your water supply connect on one end and two lines connected to the other. You can test it to be sure by doing this. Disconnect the two lines that are on one side. Using a towel to catch the water, have someone push the leaver in the front of your frige that you push when you want water. If the valve is good water will come out at the pressure you normally have when you are filling a glass from the front. If it does not come out, you will need to replace the valve.

Water leaking from ice maker GE model# TFH22PRS

Hi

Please check to make sure the water tubes are attached properly and are fastened tightly.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

Please revert for further assistance and Do rate the solution as "FixYa" if found useful.

Thanks
Rylee
