Question about Chi Mei Corporation CMV-T39D Monitor
This monitor ran beautifully for 7 months.
After weekend vacation the user came home to a black screen.
Power LED is on.
We tested this monitor on two computers using first the analog input and second the digital input and tried new data and power cables.
If we unplug the monitor from power and plug in we can see for less than 1 second the computer output but then the screen goes completely black again.
OSD will not come up at all.
No pink/reddish issues or any other symptoms preceeded this problem.
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your monitor. While the monitor is turned on and plugged up to your computer system, try looking very closely at sharp angles from above, if you can barely see your desktop the problem is the back lamp inside your monitor. Make sure the settings are not in sleep or standby mode first. If it is your back lamp you can check the following websites for information on how to fix them: The first one is here
The second site requires free registration and you will find the information you need in the members section, the main page is here. Since your monitor is less than a year old, you might want to consider sending it back to the manufacturer since they usually give you a 1-3 year warranty on the products. The only thing you should have to pay is shipping and handling. You stated that you changed the cables and tried hooking up the monitor to a known good system and that still did not help the problem, so I believe the problem may be the back lamp. I hope this helps fix your problem and if you need further assistance please let me know. I wish you the best of luck.
If you would not mind rating my help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
