A good sign when sewing is, when your thread keeps breaking, your needle usally has a spot on the tip and cuts your thread. If that doesn't solve it, it your timing in the machine. Also make sure your tension isn't too tight, that will also break your thread.

Spray wherever the squeak is coming from with a dry silicone lubricant called 'Jigaloo' or WD40 Dry Silicone Lubricant. It is also great for sliding windows.

My machine flashes C4 when i want to sew

Clean the bobbin case area thoroughly, and probably the feed dogs, too. Start all seams by holding the top and bobbin thread ends together behind the presser foot for the first few stitches. If you have lost your manual, pick up a new one, free, at http://www.singerco.com

I received singer sewing machine 2623 machine and I do not have the manual. How can I get it and how do I fill the bobbin

Singer has manuals for most of their sewing machines available at their site. For the 2623, the manual is only available as a bound copy for $15. Go to http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals and enter the model number then click Search.

I believe on this model, you fill the bobbin with it on the metal pin on the top right of the machine. With a metal presser foot in place, bring the thread up and around the guide that pin. Wrap the thread a few times around the bobbin. Set the lever to the bobbin winding position and begin winding. Stop and trim the excess thread from your initial wraps after it is fully caught. Then complete winding the bobbin.

(On other Singer machines, you fill the bobbin in place with the bobbin cover moved halfway open.)

I hope this helps.

I have a Singer 95 40. Seems to sew well, but rhe thread keeps breaking. I adjusted the tensions. They seem to be OK.. Any suggestions

Suggestion:
1.Improper threading
2. bobbin threaded improperly
3. Tension adjustment too tight.

I amhaving trouble with the thread brahing and I don;t know if it is the tension. Which way should the pobbing turn right or left and how do you set the tension For my Singer sewing machine

Check the upper threading and make sure it is threaded correctly. When you pull on the thread before it goes through the needle does it give a bit or does it break? If it is breaking when you pull then the tension is way too tight or it is threaded incorrectly. Make sure it isn't looped around some guide along the line too.

For the bobbin thread... when it is in the bobbin case outside of the machine dangle it by the thread. It should hang there until you flick your wrist a bit, which should cause some thread to release and drop the bobbin down towards the floor a bit. (If it just pulls out right to the floor it is too loose). Most bobbin tension is tightened by a small screw on the bobbin case near where the thread comes though. Breaking thread would not be from the bobbin thread being too loose. Too loose would cause looping on top side of the stitch not breakage.

Make sure the bobbin is in correctly. You should feel and hear a slight "click" when the bobbin goes in correctly.

With my K6 Industrial Singer sewing machine the top thread seems to be too tight. The bottom thread is looping too much on the top of the fabric. The timming is ok. I have checked and rechecked that I have...

Hello there, loosen your top thread tension,if it looping on top of the material the tension is way too tight, you will also find changing the thread size to smaller thread, the top tension will also reduce, depending on application a good size thread to use is 25 grade, bobbin tension should have just a slight amount of drag as the top thread and bottom work against each other when sewing.
