Why is my GE TPS24 drain freezing

It is most likely that the defrost drain is blocked in the freezer causing the water to drain through the air vents. You will most likely have to remove the rear panel in the freezer and pour hot water in the drain trough until the drain clears up and the water drains down the drain tube. Small particles of food can build up in the drain. Ice forms around the particles and blocks the drain. Sometimes the insulation gets saturated with water and the drain will continue to freeze up in about a month or so. If this is the case there isn't much that can be done except replace the refroigerator

True back bar freezing up

Most models have a metal drip collector below the evaporator that has a drain hole in it where the defrosted water goes into before it goes down to the drip trap and then out the drain hose. If the area around the drain hole has cracks, or was punctured during servicing, the drain water can get underneath the tray and run out beside and around the drip tray and never gets into the drain tube and freeze in that location. A careful inspection of this area will reveal any issues.

Water leaking from the freezer unit.

The drain hole is probably frozen over. When it goes into defrost mode every 10 hours or so, the evaporator heater removes the ice from the evaporator. There is a drain hole under the evaporator with a hose attached that goes down to a pan by the compressor fan where it is evaporated so as to not leak water on the floor. When it freezes over the drain, the water fills the bottom of the freezer until it comes out the door. A common fix to prevent the drain from freezing over is to take a bare copper 14 or 12 gauge wire and put a couple turns around the evaporator heater and stick the other end into the drain. This heats the wire enough to keep water from freezing b over the drain hole.

Kenmore elite model 52603100 freezer defrost water freezes in drain tube/plan then over flows to bottom of unit. freezes then water eventally runs on kitchen floor

You need to clean out the drain tube it's clogged that's why the water is freezing.Try using hot water and maybe something like pipe cleaners to get what's in there out.Hope this helps. On some models it may be easier to pull out the refrig from the wall and get to the drain from the back.

Freezer leaking water and freezing

you probably have a plug in the drain line that normally drains the water when your freezer goes into the defrost mode. at the base of the refrigerator there is a evaporative drain tray where the water drains from the freezer into the tray and evaporates during normal operation of the unit. You should be able to see the drain tube just above the tray. Attach a hose to it and use compressed air to blow through it and clear it out.

What is the best way to winterize a standard large capacity washing machine?

If the product will be exposed to sub-freezing temperatures, turn off the water supply to washer, disconnect fill hoses, drain them and reconnect. Remove the drain hose from the standpipe in the wall and place it into a shallow pan at floor level untill the water floe stops. Unplug unit and you are good to go.

If no sub-freezing temps are expected, turn off water supply. Turn on washer for a warm wash cycle for a few seconds to relieve the pressure in the hoses. Turn off machine and unplug it.

Water Pooling and freezing on floor of freezer

most likely you have a frozen drain in the freezer section so that whne your refrig defrosts the water runs out into the freezer compartment instead of the drain pan underneath. the fix is to flush the drain with warm water to clear the obstruction. the drain can be reached either by removing the cover in the freezer area or by back flushing the line from beneath the refrig.

Kenmore / GE side by side defrost drain keeps freezing up

Check under the base, the tube must be clear to the water tray, often there is a rubber flow restrictor, this either perishes or blockes, either way remove it, defrost over night and then turn back on, should then work ok within 24hrs. Regards Adbvisor
