SOURCE: looking for advice on Schwinn Midmoor bike?

I could not find a weight limit specified anywhere, but it is designated as a man's bike and that should cover up to at least 250 pounds. However, the reviews state things like flimsy, and recommended for light (500 miles a year) riding. 240 pounds will probably stress it quite a bit. You might want to look for something more sturdy. If price is a consideration try craigslist for a used electric or hybred.

I have a mens schwinn midmoor bike that I'm trying to find a rear rack for. Where do I attach the rack at under the seat? Do I need a seat clamp attachment? What size? I'd appreciate any help! :) ...

The most secure and sway-free type would be one that bolts to the bike at at least three points, not simply clamping the seatpost.

Blackburn and Topeak make some nice ones. They mostly bolt to those pre-drilled holes above and behind the rear axle and most say what wheel-size bike they will fit plus they have a range of adjustment (usually via bendable metal braces) for reaching that key third point near the top of the seatstays or brake bridge.

I have a Schwinn Midmoor Hybrid bike. The problem is I think, with my suspension. When my bike is at a standstill and I turn the handlebars, there is a slight knocking when I turn it to the left. It steers...

You need to replace the headset bearings. Very simple job but you will need some grease.

Undo the brake lines from the levers and remove handle bars from the stem and set aside. Undo the top bolt on the stem, this will loosen it and pull it out of the headset.

Use a large jaw spanner to undo the headset locking top nut. Remove that and the washer, until you see the ball bearing race.

Remove and check for damage. If any balls are missing or are crushed/damaged, you need a new set. Clean the headset area of old grease and refit with plenty of thick grease.

Refit all of the parts and refit handle bars.

Vote for me if this helps you. Thanks! :)

There is usually a nut just below the stem, at least
1" or bigger put a wrench on that nut. Good Luck Pal.

I have a schwinn avenue bike purchaced at walmart last fall. i have had to replace spokes on the rear 3 different times.

Either you are riding over some really rough terrain or the air pressure in the tires is too low. Not getting them tight enough will also cause alignment problems and bend spokes. Eric
