My Brookstone Wireless Keyboard doesn't stay on. It turns itself off within 5-10 minutes if I'm not typing constantly. I always have to exit what I am reading, go back to settings, then reconnect the bluetooth and then enter the 4 digit numeral code, then close out and open up the page I was reading. Too many steps, especially when I'm on 3G and paying for repeating the search and reloading the pages I was reading. I have been touching the space bar to try and keep it on, but if I forget, it kicks off and I have too start all over again. Very Frustrating Mary Hart

a bad chip in the keyboard usually causes this problem. Replacing your keyboard with a new one is the thing to do

SOURCE: Navman Tracker 5500 turns on but locks itself in the entry page

Apparently it is the internal battery that might be at fault or just be old. I'm going to replace mine as it costs a fortune to get Navman to do it. Can't find any info on how to do it, but should be simple. Only thing is that you lose all waypoints and other user input data (unless you have the PC Planner from C-Map).

SOURCE: Wireless keyboard problem

just called Logitech support (who were more than helpful, very friendly, and picked up the phone within 5 minutes).
I have an MX3000 laser combo set and the receiver lost connection to the mouse last week. Then the keyboard went out a few nights ago. I had tried what everyone else here had tried to no avail.
So I decided to give a tech support line the benefit of the doubt and call one...
I'm very glad I did!
Here is the entire process for the Left Ctrl + Left Alt + F12 keys. First, when you hit these keys together, a box should pop up on screen to prompt you to reset the encryption sequence. That is what these keys are for. If nothing pops up on your screen (as was my case!), wait a few minutes for the button sequenece to time out, then hit these keys again. Make sure its L-Ctrl + L-Alt + F12 only. Within 2 seconds after that button combo, hit connect on the receiver. Within 2 seconds of that hit connect on the underside of the keyboard. Within 2 seconds of that, hit your Escape key on the keyboard. Sounds completely ridiculous, but this is the direction Logitech support drove me in. And it worked for me. And this is after I tried everything imaginable for over the past week.
We then moved on to the mouse, which i thought we had fixed. But now i have one working and one not working, so I think I need to re-run through this whole process to fix the second mouse. Basically, I now have 1 mouse that works on both receivers, on 2 different pc's with 2 different keyboards in two different rooms (both sets are MX3000 however).
The other now seems to have lost the signal. Will update if I get that second mouse to play nicely with me.
Hope this helps anyone about to trash a perfectly good unit like I was!

Brookstone Pure ion flashes clean filter. Maybe I need a replacement? Can't find model number

Hi!

If the "clean filter" light on your Brookstone Pure Ionizer continues to flash even after you've cleaned the filter, it's possible that the filter is worn out and needs to be replaced.
Since you're unable to find the model number of your air purifier, I suggest that you try the following steps:

  1. Look for the filter type: Check the user manual or the label on the filter to see if there is any information about the filter type or part number. If you're still unable to find this information, try removing the filter from the air purifier and looking for any identifying markings or labels on the filter itself.
  2. Contact Brookstone customer support: If you're still unable to find the filter type or part number, contact Brookstone customer support for assistance. They may be able to help you identify the filter you need based on the make and model of your air purifier.
  3. Consider a generic replacement: If you're unable to find the exact replacement filter for your air purifier, you may be able to use a generic filter that fits the same size and shape as your original filter. Be sure to check the specifications of the filter carefully to ensure that it will work with your air purifier.
In the meantime, you can try resetting the filter indicator by unplugging the air purifier for a few minutes, plugging it back in, and then pressing and holding the filter reset button (if available) for a few seconds until the indicator light turns off.
Remember to replace the filter as soon as possible to ensure optimal performance of your air purifier.

I hope these stepa can help you further.

Kind regards

Can't be able to connect internet by wireless

netgear wireless, first thing we need to make sure is that we are connected hardwired to the router. after ensuring that we are connected. try to open a browser, be it internet explorer or mozilla firefox.

after you have the browser on your screen try to go to the address bar and type in there 192.168.1.1 the username is always "admin" all in lower case, and the password is the word " password " itself. all in lowercase. after successfully accessing the netgear page, try to check the leftside of the screen and look for wireless settings. and click on it. then look for network name, type in, or create your own network name there. next is look for security options. and make sure to choose WPA-AES(TKIP) after choosing it. type in your passphrase now on the box below it. make sure its 8 characters and longer. then click on apply settings. this would take a couple of minutes. after its done applying the settings, exit from that screen and try to locate your network name and connect. this should work

The monitor menu appear suddenly in the display and I can´t erase it.

usually this is caused by having your keyboard too close to the monitor and the keyboard bumps the menu button..
look at the buttons on your monitor itself. One of them should say "menu" pressing that one again should close the onscreen menu. if that doesn't work look for another button marked "exit" or an "exit OR close menu" selection within the menu itself. Use the menu button to get in the menu, use the left , right, up or down to navigate through the menu and usually the "menu OR select" button to make chnages.

Keys constantly will not type and when they do type they are skipping letters when that happens, no other keys or space bar work either in this condition it has trouble keeping up with my typing speed and...

the lag is because all the data packets aren't being picked up......here are your solutions in order of probability....
  1. more than likely you are simply too far from your usb adapter.....most wireless keyboards are really wireless desktops and have a rather limited range.........you will have to find away to be closer to your tower...
  2. if you have a cordless telephone in the house, it may be interfering with the keyboards signal....try unplugging and turning off all your handsets and try your input devices
  3. you have received a faulty piece of equipment and are more than likely protected under a one year manufacture warranty if purchased within the united states...

Keypad problem in lenovo laptop

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? Friend try to do this solutions it will help you.
Problem: You Type One Key, and a Different Character Appears Onscreen This is an interesting problem with four possible causes:
  • You really didn't type what you thought you did. Look at your fingers. Now look at the screen. Now look at your fingers again. Is everything the way it should be? Good!
  • If you have a programmable keyboard, you or someone else might have reprogrammed the keys so that they don't do what they normally do. Refer to the keyboard's manual for instructions about how to reprogram the keys.
  • If you're in a specific software program, some programs let you reprogram the keyboard from within the program. When you exit the program, your keyboard should be back to normal.
  • It's possible your keyboard is broken. Try hooking another keyboard up to your system and see how it works.
Problem: Your Keyboard Isn't Responding Properly What do you do if you hold down a key and it repeats too fast or too slow? Windows lets you make adjustments to your keyboard via the Keyboard Properties dialog box.
Just open the Control Panel and select Keyboard, and then select the Speed tab. Adjust the Repeat Delay and Repeat Speed settings to your liking, and then test your settings by clicking in the blank box and holding down a key. After you have things adjusted to your liking, click OK.
Problem: Your Wireless Keyboard Isn't Responding Properly This is the same issue as with a wireless mouse—your batteries are getting weak. Replace the batteries in your wireless keyboard to put things right.
It's also possible that you're experiencing interference with some other wireless device. Try moving your wireless receiver or the offending device, or turning off the other device while you're at the computer.
Just try these solutions friend. Hope I helped you Good luck
