PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS PROCESS!!! YOU WILL DESTROY YOUR CIRCUIT BOARD LIKE I DID IF YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR TIME OR ARE CAREFUL!!
What you need to do is clean the CRT coolant inside the TV. Here is a forum that I SHOULD have read before doing mine:
CRT COOLANT REPLACEMENT AND CLEANING
I was lazy and not taking my time to take care in not dripping any CRT coolant and some got on my circuit board, ( I felt confident since I had changed the Blue CRT 2 years prior) and I was only able to see about 1 hour of the best viewing my TV has ever given me since it was new, it looked like a miracle had happened. My TV was "dull" as the best way to describe it, colors faded, kinda fuzzy. I briefly researched into it again to refresh my memory then jumpted right into not really taking any precautions. I got lazy and didn't take out the CRT's like I did the first time with the Blue CRT and paid the price for it. Let me tell you, theirs nothing worse than getting a perfect brand new like picture only to loose it and hour later because of carelessness. Take out the CRT's, take your time, label everything and take pics, the reward is WELL worth it. Oh ya, you can use Mineral oil instead of the coolant that they sell at stores. Its not conductive, and dose'nt damage the circuit board if u spill a little. I used Baby Oil the first time I did it and when I went back to change the green CRT this time around it was still crystal clear, no discoloration in the Blue CRT I had done 2 years prior. I hope your results come out better than mine did!!
