I cant tell you for sure, but, usually just put a piece of wood on the plate or deck, pull the saw down and have the blade make contact with the wood. tighten the nut and hold downward pressure

How do u put on a saw blade for a cordless circular saw.???

First remove the battery, next make sure of the blade rotation and remove the hex bolt and OUTER flange lift the guard and put the blade on the spindle. Reinstall the outer flange and tighten the hex bolt, generally newer saws have a spindle lock to hold spindle to tighten the blade. If this is a Porter Cable like in the header you can go to dewaltservicenet.com and with your model and type number find an operators manual. Let me know if you need more assistance.

How do u remove the blade on a chop saw ls1013

Be sure the saw is switched off and unplugged. Use the Makita socket wrench on the side of the saw base if you still have it. If not make sure you use a socket or wrench that fits the bolts properly so you get them off and back on without damaging them. Lock the handle in the up position with the stopper pin. Loosen the hex bolt holding the center cover in place, this will let you raise the guard and center cover so you can get at the blade bolt. There is a button on the back side of the blade guard that locks the spindle. Push and hold the button in and turn the blade until it locks in place. Using the socket wrench, turn the blade bolt clockwise or in the same direction the blade turns while cutting to remove it, the outer flange and blade. Put the new blade on (check that the direction of the arrow on the blade is the same as on the guard), the outer flange and blade bolt. Use the spindle lock to get the bolt on tight. Return the center cover to it's original position and tighten it's hex bolt. Turn the blade by hand to make sure the spindle lock released then pull the stopper pin and make sure the blade guard works properly.

How do you change the blade on a Husqvarna partner K750 concrete saw?

The blade bolt is 13mm,on the opposite side there is a hole in the belt guard to insert a 6mm pin to lock the front pulley, once locked undo the blade bolt counter clockwise, once removed, remove the outer clamping flange, you can then remove the blade, the standard arbour is 20mm, this can be changed if you wish to a 25.4mm, or a 22mm, depending on the arbour size of the blade you wish to fit, the arbour just pulls off the shaft with a suitable puller. Refit the the blade and outer flange, tighten the bolt securley.

My husband inherited a Ryobi 9" band saw BS900 when his father passed away. We have no manual and are trying to tighten the blade. Can you help us--he's helping his grand son with a cub scout car.

Tensioning a blade on a band saw usually means moving the upper driven wheel upwards. Remove/open the upper wheel cover and look for the lock bolts and the bolt that will jack the wheel upwards to tighten the blade. Loosen off the lock bolts, tension the blade - it needs to be pretty tight with virtually no sideways movement - and tighten the lock bolts. Replace the covers and lock the covers. Make sure that the wall plug is removed from the socket before you proceed with this operation - band saws know no mercy.

How do you change the blade on a Benchtop Pro Compound Miter Saw?

somewhere on the motor of the saw but near the blade housing there is going to be a button or small metal lever that you psh in and hold while you loosen the blade, BE SURE THE SAW IS UNPLUGGED!!! you may have to turn the blade slowly with your hand while pushing the blade lock button to find a locking point on it, once you get it locked you should be able to loosen the blade, when you take it off be sure to note which way the washer on the bolt is facing so you can put it back correctly, you will also have to hold the blade lock to tighten new blade, hopes this gets you going

How do you change the blade in a Ryobi 2000 watt mitre saw?

Ihave the same saw and i like it a lot. There is awrench that clips in near the handle that fits the bolt also there is a lockon the front of the saw under the trigger that needs to be press in this will lock the shaft . The bolt is left handed so you have to turn it clock wise to loosen its the oppisite a normal thread so it dosn't loosen whale you are opperating it. Pull back the blade gaurd loosen the bolt remove note the way the washers come off theres only way they fit so look at them as your removeing them . Put the new blade on the outer washer push the shaft lock bottem tighten and its ready to use.

How to tighten blade on super sawcat model 2154 , blade spins and I cant find any way to stop spindle from spinning when Im trying to tighten . Any help would be great as was my fathers saw and would still...

Usually on portable saws there is a hole somewhere in the blade guard to put a screwdriver or something through and hold the blade still while you tighten the spindle nut etc.
Hope this helps. I only have experience of a very old B&D saw which worked in this way. I now use a more modern Bosch machine which also works the same.

Can not remove the old blade

1. Unplug the saw.
2. Locate the blade lock button used to lock the motor shaft when changing a blade. For your saw, this button is usually located on the left side of the blade guard somewhere around the motor housing.
3. Push the button while rotating the blade until the button engages and the blade will no longer turn.
4. Use the wrench that came with the saw (or another wrench) to loosen and remove the blade bolt. For your saw the bolt should have standard right hand threads which means you loosen the bolt by turning it counter clock-wise.
5. Remove the old blade and replace it with a new blade of the same mounting type. Some blades have a round through hole and some blades have a diamond through hole.
6. Re-install the blade bolt and tighten clock-wise while holding the blade lock button down.

Changing the saw blade on a Ryobi Mitre saw

There may be a push button type blade lock, and on many of these saws the retaining bolt for the blade is backwards threads, e.i., looking at the top of blade retaining bolt, turn it clockwise to loosen. This would normally tighten, but in the case of many of these saws, it loosens it.
