Hi, there is no diagram available to install it but i can give you a brief description of how to install. Remove the c-clip holding the platter to the center spindle. Remove the platter and turn it bottom side up, place the rubber belt around the platter and fix it to the little post sticking up on the outer-edge surface. The little post holds the belt to the platter while you turn the platter over and put it on so that the post points right over the motor pulley. Turn the platter by hand either clockwise or counter-CW and the belt will pop off of the post and land on the motor pulley. One drop of oil on the center spindle for lube and fasten the e-clip back on.
1) Remove the platter - just lift up 2) Underneath the platter, you'll see a small lip section 3) Wrap the belt around this lip 4) Put platter back on turntable 5) Rotate platter until you see the motor shaft through the holes on the platter - a brass round looking piece 6) Pinch the belt around the motor shaft. 7) That's it.

That's right.

Here are some in-depth instructions.
Turntable-belts generally go from the spindle motor to the underside of the platter. The platter, or table tray, is the metallic structure which supports the record. After taking the platter off the turntable, a pretty self-explanatory process, look for the only large, circular "lip" on the platter's backside and wrap your belt around it. Make sure the band is flat, not twisted. Put the platter back in its original place and, working through one of the holes in the platter, pull the turntable belt to the far side of the spindle motor.

I hope this helps.

Turntable not turning - ribbon under turntable dislodged.

Sounds like your belt is shot. Go to www.mcmelectronic.com They have belts and belt kits which will solve your problem. To replace the belt remove the platter. May mean removing a circlip off the stem. Then lift the platter up, remove the bad belt and install the new belt. Generally the belt has to be reinstalled on the platter by holding it with a screwdriver while you turn the platter slowly and work the belt on. If I didn't already say, remove the rubber cover on the platter. It will reveal a hole in the platter where you need to do the alignment work. Let me know how you make out.

Changing the belt on a Technics SL-3 (Linear tracking) turntable

Instructions on installation of your drive belt - this also applies to other brands as well - however this belt is only for the Technics models listed above:
  1. Remove the turntable platter off from the turntable
  2. Remove the old/damage belt
  3. Wrap the new belt underneath the turntable platter - you will see a small lip on the bottom of the platter. Wrap the belt around this lip.
  4. Put the platter back on the turntable
  5. The turntable platter will have small holes, rotate the platter until you see the motor, and the motor shaft.
  6. Pinch the belt, so that it wraps around the motor shaft
  7. Turn on and enjoy!

Record player belt

Scott, the belt wraps around the bottom of the turntable platter, then put the platter back on your turntable, and you'll have to pinch back a section of the belt and wrap around the brass motor spindle. That's pretty much it!

Good luck.
