Connecting an a/v receiver to a Dish network...

I bought a samsung (HT-As720s) A/V receiver with speakers to connect my Dish network HD box and Sansung HD DVD player to my Samsung HD TV. The DVD works great but I can't view the TV through the receiver, despite having all attached via HDMI cables, hooked to the labeled inputs. help....
I have the same problem.

DO you have manuals for all the units listed?
If not , try the Samsung consumer site.
It would take me quite a while to figure out your situation even with manuals and I have a business to run besides.

Also, ask some questions of Tech Support at Samsung..Let them KNOW how much you spent on their stuff.
