DO you have manuals for all the units listed?
If not , try the Samsung consumer site.
It would take me quite a while to figure out your situation even with manuals and I have a business to run besides.

Also, ask some questions of Tech Support at Samsung..Let them KNOW how much you spent on their stuff.

God bless,

How to get full picture on my tv?

First, ensure your tv is using the highest resolution possible (Usually 1080 for flat screens) by using an HDMI cable from the receiver to the television, and that you are on the correct input. Second, ensure your tv is not sizing the video by using the 'picture size' or 'aspect' or 'ratio' key on the remote that came with your tv (Not your DISH remote). Third, tune your DISH receiver (with your DISH remote) to an HD channel (for VIP model receivers, when you tune the channel to an HD channel, an opaque white 'HD' appears insude the blue box at the top of the screen). Fourth, hit the star key on the remote, while watching the screen. On the right hand side, near the top, it will cycle as you hit repeatedly the star key, the style of screen widening. Hit the key as often as you need to make the screen appear the way you want it to. The receiver will remember your setting for all HD channels. When finished with the HD channel, tune your receiver (with your DISH remote) to a SD channel (any channel in the guide that does not have the HD icon). Repeat the fourth step.

For Hopper/Joey family receivers, hit menu, settings, screen size. Follow the instructions to resize your screen to match your preference. When finished, repeat step four above on each an HD and a SD channel.

I have a dish 625 receiver and i wanted to know if i could use an rca to hdmi cable to connect receiver to hd tv

ashlinlow,

You can definitely use an RCA to HDMI converter, though since our 625 receivers do not have HD capability it won't improve the picture at all. If you would like to look into upgrading to HD equipment, you can reach me directly at thomas.faust@dish.com!

Sling Box Pro - No network light, No light in logo, only power light on. Therefore won't connect to network. Was working fine. Tried reset button and also power off/on. Only the red power light is on.

If you are getting a light on the Sling Box indicating that it is connected and powered on, you may check your Internet connection to the receiver to make sure you are actually connected.

You can check you Internet connection on your receiver by pressing the Menu button on your remote. This will display the Main Menu on your TV screen. Press 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 9 (Broadband Setup). Once you are on the Broadband Setup screen, press 1 (Network Setup). An IP address should display on the Network Setup screen. You can also run a connection test on your receiver. If you continue to have problems connecting, you can give Sling Box a call to troubleshoot the Sling Box. I have a total of two standard tv's currently connected to my Dish receiver box 322. I would like to upgrade my main tv to a LCD tv. Can I still keep the 322 receiver or will I need to upgrade to a HD...

Hello, this is Nick Franta with DISH Network Customer Support.

You can still keep the 322 receiver with your new LCD tv. An HD receiver upgrade would be beneifical as well to make sure you maintain the best picture quality.

Unhooked all lines in back of tv cant remember to rehook up have2

granmabj,

There are common connections to each receiver but there are unique connections also depending on the receiver. Solo receivers have a coax cable coming from the Dish outside connected to Satellite In. Duo receivers and DVR HD receivers have the coax cable that comes from the dish outside that connects to Satellite 1 and Satellite 2 using a splitter. There is also a cable (coax, RCA (yellow, white, red) or component (green, blue, red - video, white, red - audio) or an HDMI if HD) connected from the receiver to the TV 1. For a duo receiver TV 2 may be backfed on the cable coming from the dish outside using diplexers. This may sound confusing but you can call 1-800-333-3474 for assistance.

Copy shows from dishnetwork 510 receivers to external hd

ic_technolog,

External Hard Drives are not supported on the 510 receiver. The 211, 211k, 411, 612, 622, 722, 722k, and 922 are all capable of having an external hard connected via the USB port on the receiver and a one time activation fee of $40. I hope this helps.

HD TV

In order to receive HD signals, you will need an HD receiver from Dish Network. You can buy an HD antenna from pretty much any store that sells TV stuff (Target, Wal*Mart, BestBuy, etc) which will allow you to receive over the air HD signals. But in order to get your satellite channels in HD, you will need an HD receiver from Dish Network.
