Remove the chrome scew on the side of the dark blue op panel and pull out the battery holder. The battery CR2032 is available everywhere

If you can find the menu button, most times if you select setup or maintance area, find the fax recieve area.
In that part of the menu, scroll to the area where it will say store in memory, and select it to off. Select anything but store fax documents in memory will correct this problem.
Do not make multiple changes at one time while in the setup mode.
Exit the menu and try it, repeat the process to see if those changes were made, sometimes the menu does not hold the changes you preiviously made.

On the front of your machine, you will see a button that says "In/Out". I bet someone hit that by mistake, turning off auto-answer.

These fax machines have a problem with memory.You may want to add extra memory cards to them.Either that or you have to keep manualy emptying it out.Memory usualy comes in 8&16MB.
