Try to unplug the copier. This should get out of down load mode.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

This means the printer booted in download mode. There are problem with the firmware.

You will need the support tool and a software cd for that model.

Please consult further with your manual on updating firmware or call the Canon tech to get the firmware updated.

Download standby,CANON IR 2016jphotocopy machine

Amanuel Getachew.
I faced this type of problem before. This type of error code or message may occurs when the system software of that machine is corrupted. So flash the machine with canon driver software. then it will be ready. good luck.

I have canon ir2016 copier When i on the machine the screen appers or error DOWNLAOD STANDBY. Solution to solve it. thanks. japhet.

Hey, If your machine stops the starting sequence as regular but then it shows the download message the only solution you can try is to reinstall the operating system to the copier.

you will need the correct operating system, a laptop computer, a cross ethernet cable and ready to proceed. the bad news is that the OS is only given to canon authorized service centers, so in other words you are gonna have to call them. sorry.

if that doesnt work out then you may have to buy new pcb boards.
