Hi,
If there is no power going to the heating element then the timer/control is bad and the switch/relay is not sending the current to the heating element...

Changing out the timer/control will get that heating element working again...

Hello there :
Heating element Your dishwasher has an electrical heating element that helps to dry the dishes and heats up the water. If the element is burned out, the dishes won't dry properly, and make the water heat up you need to replace the element. Drying fan Many high-priced dishwashers have a small fan that blows air or heated air into the dishwasher to speed up the drying process. If the fan is defective, yot u need to replace it. Thermostat Some dishwashers have a thermostat that monitors the drying temperature. along with the temperature of the water If the thermostat is defective, the heating element may not cycle on or off thus not giving any power to the heating element. If that's the problem, you need to replace the thermostat. you will want to check these things with a meter and check for the continuity on both if there is no continuity this means that that part is bad and needs to be replaced ok ?
Keep me posted on how this is going so i can continue to help if needed
Best regards mike

  • Remove the front plate of the dishwasher and locate the thermostat. If the thermostat is not located in the front of the unit pull the dishwasher out and remove the back access panel.

  • 2

Disconnect any wires or other parts that are in the way.
Separate the wires with a flat blade screwdriver carefully to keep the
    wires from breaking.

  • 3

Take out the screws attaching the thermostat to the firewall
and remove it from the dishwasher. Verify the replacement part matches
the original, including the wire connector.

Place the new thermostat into place and secure it with the
screws. Connect the wires and replace any parts or cables. Attach the
front or back plate and replace any molding.

There's only one pipe for water is it a cold water dishwasher or hot model number adp755

If there is only a single water inlet then it has to be connected to the cold water connection. Generally dishwashers use internal heater elements to heat the water during relevant wash and rinse cycles.
Hope this helps.

The "clean light" is flashing

Indicates control hasn't sensed a rise in water temp during heat cycle. Make sure you hear the water being circulated during wash cycle. If so the heater, control board, thermostats or wiring are most likely bad. If heater, therms, and wiring check good its usually the control. When fixed press Heat dry- Normal-heat dry-Normal or High temp- air dry-high temp- air dry to reset control.

If it does not then check the heater circuit......element...thermos NTC, with a meter for electrical continuity....some dishwashers stop mid cycle if the re is no heat but some go right through on cold depending on the make.. good luck

I have a kitchenaid dishwasher modl # KUDIO01IL. Someone opened the door during a wash cycle and now the CLEAN LED is flashing. Tried pushing cancel and unplugging. No change. Any ideas/

Hi
Please check if the clean light is blinking 7 times. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry.
If this doesn't work then its an issue with the heater circuit, door switch, wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

The clean light keeps blinking and won't run new cycle

Whirlpool & Kitchen-Aid
Tall Tub Dishwashers
PROBLEM: STOPPED RUNNING, WILL NOT START AND CLEAN LED BLINKS 7 TIMES, THEN REPEATS (WATER HEATING FAULT)
Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further
cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature
increase detected in heated Main Wash cycle or in 3 consecutive
cycles on the latest software version). Control blinks the Clean
LED 7 times repeatedly and disables the Start/Resume key until
cleared.
Running Diagnostics clears the control and allows it
to operate again. The water heating condition
must be corrected or the control will stop
running again. See potential causes below.
Check If…
Heater circuit problem:
♦ Open heater.
♦ Wire disconnected, open connection or component
in heater circuit.
♦ Faulty heater drive circuit on control.
Then…
1. Check operation of heater in Diagnostics cycle.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
3. Check resistance of heater and all components
and connections in the water heating circuit or heat
dry circuit.
Door switch not making contact consistently:
♦ Misaligned door latch assembly (which can be
aggravated by high door closure force keeping
strike plate from fully seating).
♦ Faulty door switch (high resistance).
♦ Loose or missing installation anchor screws,
causing tank to shift in cut-out.
NOTE: Neutral switch on plastic tub models is only in series with
the heater; other loads are not affected.
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Measure resistance of door switch contacts while
checking mechanical operation of latch assembly.
Confirm switches not loose from assembly. Check
strike plate and door closure.
Wash pump not pumping water past the heater efficiently.
• Foreign object in pump
• Excessive foaming
• Clogged pump screen or broken chopper screen
• Loose electrical connection in motor circuit
See Tech Sheet “WASH PUMP WILL NOT PUMP”.
Lack of water to heat. (Unit not filling properly)
• Insufficient water supply pressure
• Fill valve screen blocked or valve not opening fully
• Loose electrical connection on Fill Valve.
• Float switch obstructed or functioning abnormally
See Tech Sheet “WILL NOT FILL OR LOW
WATER”.
Diagnostic Key Dance:
Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or
High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry

HOPE THIS HELP

Water heater no go.

The heating element is turned on first during the main wash cycle, which could be approximately 10 minutes in. Since this error is coming up, the first thing to check/replace is the heating element.

I am only familiar with the LDF family of LG dishwashers and on them, to get to the heating element, you pull the dishwasher, invert the entire DW and remove the access panel.

Good Luck, please post back here what you find, OK?

Model # dwu7702aae has heat delay light coming on during cycle. Why?

Heater is used to both heat water during clean cycle and dry dishes after wash cycle. Most washers have either a separate switch for Heat or Dry for optional use, or some have the water heat and dish dry options built into cycle set options.

You can save money by turning off the Dish Dry option since it is a very in-efficient way to dry dishes. Instead, open the wishwasher door after washing cycle completes, just enough so fresh air can get into, and humid air can escape, dishwasher.

Water Heat option is only needed for dried food on dishes, and is never needed if dishes are either rised off before putting them in the dishwasher, or rinsed off inside the dishwaser with a Rinse cycle, if they are to stand for a time waiting for a full dishwasher for wash.
