I think you are probably not going to have enough start up power for a microwave. They draw alot of amps on start up and I think your tv or dvd will pull about 1/3 to start.
I have a 8750 watt max watt generator and my wifes microwave is the only appliance in the house other than dryer that will make it change rpms.
Hope this helps you. Thanks

I have a 2500 watt cobra inverter and I'm trying to get my 700 watt microwave to work but it keeps poping the breaker and shutting off Not sure why

Instantaneous surge current can trip the breaker. You need to look at the data plate on the oven to see what the actual draw off the mains is. 700 watts of microwave power is NOT the amount of power drawn when it starts. You have the fan motor and the tray rotator motor to deal with when calculating the correct size of inverter to use with it.

Why does my 900w microwave trigger the LUP code & alarm?

you need at least a 1900 watt inverter with a fully charged battery to run a 900 watt microwave,it uses 900 watts to make microwaves and it uses 700 or so to run everything else.

I have a 700 watt power inverter. what appliances can be used for that amount of watts.

Please understand that an inverter should only be used for temporary use, not like a generator. 700 watts is about the upper limit that most cars or light truck alternators can take.

Before adding loads to the inverter, check the wattage rating of each device you plan to connect. You should not exceed 80% of the inverter's capacity, or 560 watts continuously (.8 x 700).

Some inverters output a pure sine wave, meaning they are suitable for things like computers or other more sensitive electronics. If the inverter outputs a square wave, you should be careful not to connect devices that could be harmed.

If you look on the inverter, there should be a model number and make. It's best to refer to the owner's manual before you use the inverter. If you don't have a book, you should be able to find one on-line if you search by make and model. There may also be a phone number you can call for technical support or to obtain a manual.

On model mw8626w can i use it in my semi with a 1000 watt inverter?

Take a look at the oven's electric rating information. It should be on the label with the model and serial number, and it will tell you how many amps the oven needs. Power in watts is volts times amps, so a 1000-watt inverter is good for about 8 amps at 120 volts output. Some inverters also use a peak rating, meaning power than can be delivered for a short time. The continuous power may be less than that; you'll need to look at the inverter. As long as the power needed by the oven is within the inverter's ratings then you'll be able to use it. Otherwise you'll need to shop for one with more output power.

My microwave will not work with this new inverter, it is a 650 watt microwave. It will not work in any plug but all other things work in each plug including 1500 watt elec skillet and 900 watt coffee...

There are a couple of possible explanations for this. I have no way of knowing how well your inverter is wired. If you have followed standard inverter wiring guidelines for an inverter of this size you will have eliminated that as a possible problem. Your microwave is more than likely at least 1100 watt input power consumption. I am not familiar with this brand. Some off brands make claims that are substantiated by questionable testing. Your initial surge should be no more than 2200 watts, well within the capabilities of this inverter. My guess would be that your problem is probably with your wiring. If you feel that the wiring is without defect, you may have a faulty unit. I know that dollars are always an important consideration, but I suggest purchasing as large a unit as you can afford and one that exceeds your requirements. Best wishes...

When I turn microwave on it blows 60 amp fuse

60 amps times12 volts = 720 watts times 80% effic of conv. = 576 watts available for microwave...

You must have a very tiny microwave as most require at least 1000 watts input power. That might have something to do with blowing the fuse. Since the microwave has a very reactive inout, you need a goodly safety margin above the rated watts input.

Need small microwave for inverter on houseboat

Look at the rating sticker on the oven and use the AC power rating as your guide. The cooking power of the oven is not important, but the power it needs from the AC supply is. Voltage times current is the supply power needed (watts), and you want an oven that will draw less than the inverter's continuous rating, less any power being used by other appliances.

For instance, a microwave rated for 120 volts AC at 10 amps needs 1200 watts. Your inverter would be OK with this as long as other devices aren't using more than another 1000 watts. You can't use the inverter's peak rating. That's only for brief bursts, like when the microwave first kicks on and draws some extra current.

Any mid-power (600 watts or so) oven should be OK.

Inverter shut off and turn back on..

Sounds like one of two things are happening:

1. Microwave is drawing too much current, causing internal voltage monitoring circuitry in inveter to go into protection mode.

2. RFI from microwave is somehow being few into inverter causing similar circumstance.

The output power for model MA-780 was 700 watts, so I'd bet yours is either 600 or 700 watts.
