Frontloadernot draining

Take the power plug off the wall. Be prepared for a lot of water before attempting the following. It doesn't spin because the unit is not draining water. It will not spin with water in it - must drain first. Check drain hose for kink, check exit pipe for blockage. Remove the front access panel, bottom front, screws beneath; if you find a hose there with a cap -this is for draining water. Could be your "coin trap assembly" is blocked, therefore not allowing all the water to pump out. Remove the clamp (or unscrew) that connects the trap assembly to the pump and clean it out.

My washer wont agitate or spin

kind of a vague description, but likley cause is a bad or clogged drain pump, not allowin water out to spin, removing bottom cover will gain oyou acess to "button trap" portion of pump housing..

uunscrewing "button trap" willallow you to clean oout debris, but be warned that any wate in tub however little or lot there isin machine will also be coming out as well.i genreally grab a black plastic garbage bag and surround the opening prior to unscrewing the trap cover to catch the deluge of immenent water!!!!

usually determine this as well, if by turning off water supply, then select the "drain spin" cycle. Start the machineand in a bout10 secs or so youll usually hear teh pupmp activate, but instead of mvoving/drain water it simply sits ther HUMMING..

Whirpool duet washer - error code f35. shuts off

Hi,

Just tilt the washer back and prop it up with some wood blocks. Three screws are right on the front at the very bottom. Use a 9/32 socket to remove them. The front cover slides right off. The drain trapclean out is right in the middle. Turn the large white knob counter-clockwise to remove it and clean.

Thank you !!

Monthly Cleaning Protocol

  1. Hello. here it is: Use only the proper amount of HE (high-efficiency) detergent in your Duet. Whirlpool has stated that using too much detergent or fabric softener in the Duet can ruin a high-speed spin bearing responsible for spinning the basket. The replacement part is approximately $600. Whirlpool also claims that using too much detergent or softener can cause fungus growth.
  2. If you have mold and mildew problems with your Duet, check the filter trap. Unplug the washer and remove the three screws in the seam between the door and the bottom panel to remove the bottom panel. The Duet drain pump has a design flaw that leaves about a cup of water in the filter trap under the tub. Clean out that filter with bleach every month or two to eliminate mold problems.
  3. Put small items in a mesh bag before washing. There is a good chance they will get lodged in the Duet's filter trap, if you don't. Check the filter trap mentioned in Step 2 monthly to make sure there aren't any small items blocking the filter.
  4. Remove your detergent dispenser every month and wash with warm water and bleach to prevent mold buildup. Remove the fungus smell from your washer with Affresh washer cleaner. Always keep the washer door open when not in use.
