The chosen cycle button light will continue to flash on and off about once every second or so until you open the door and hit the end button. It's like it just will not start the cleaning cycle.

I will check further tonight, the machine is so quiet, but i do believe there is a low hum for about 1-2 seconds than clicks off and the light remains flashing. I will take off the front bottom cover so i can hear better. Will get back to you unless you want me to check for something else.

Daniel: If the motor does hum is there a possibility that it's the capacitor?

Hi
If you believe that the latch is fine then try to hear a hum like sound from the motor, also check that the motor is working fine as it that won't work the unit won't start the cycle. If everything else seems to be fine then it is the Timer that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Yes it can be the capacitor however, the hum sound usually comes when the motor wont run

Oko 72630. Why is it stuck on rinse cycle?

Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)

According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.

Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes.
1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate.
2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.

Not sure your entire question but if no cycle is chosen or running and you close the door and the power trips then it is definitely your door lock mechanism. This is located to the right of the door behind front panel. If it tripped out in the middle of the cycle and by closing the door you are restarting the cycle then it will depend on where in the cycle you are up to. Of course it can always still be the door switch itself I don't usually find them tripping the power. If the machine starts the fill but trips out it is likely the inlet solenoids. If the unit fills some and then trips it is likely the motor. If the unit fills washes and then trips it is likely the drain pump. If the unit fills washes drains and then trips it is likely the motor. Of course at any of these points it can be any of the pc boards. So if you know where in the cycle it trips this will narrow down the choices.

Fills with water, drains, will not spin. sometimes will not fill

This is almost certainly the filter to the empty pump blocked. When you power up the machine, the first thing it does is make sure there is no water left over in the tub, if it can't evacuate any water it finds there, it won't go any further. Same on a spin, if after a set time the water hasn't emptied the empty cycle will stop but the spine cycle wont start because there is still water in the drum.

Locate and clean your empty pump filter.

Water is not drained from the tub when washing of the dishes is complete

The filter is probably blocked.

It is inside the base of the machine.

Take out the filter and clean it and also clean out the filter well as that can also hold quite a bit of debris.

My kenmore dw just stopped running thru cycles except drain

Hello, With the information you supplied I'm going to assume the light is blinking 7 times and pausing then blinking 7 times and so on. With the door cracked open hit the following button combination: -high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry Then close the door and hit cancel. The pump will run for a few moments and then you should be all set. Hope this helps Mike

Clean light flashes constanly. Won't clear out to start new cycle

If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

Depress start button till start light goes out. Close door, drain pump should run for a while. Wait for end of program, rer-try a new program start. This process is re-setting memory. If this fails to sort problem then start checking components, ie: fill valve water on? heaters open circuit/down to earth, drain pump, is it emptying, wash pump.
