Question about Sunbeam Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

I have a Sunbeam model 1388 warm mist vaporizer and the instructions are rather vague as to where the medicine well is located. It states that is directly in front if the steam outlet however all that is there is a shallow grill. Is that the medicine well? A clear photo or diagram showing exactly where the medicine well is at would be helpful but none seems to exist. Can you help?

According to operators manual Add liquid vaporizing inhalant only to the medicine well in front of the steam outlet (See Figure 3). picture is not very clear but should be the only area in front of steam out let. Hope this helps.

Some water will not produce mist unless something is added to increase mineral content. Your instructions should mention this

Hello...i have a sunbeam filter free warm mist humidifier, and i put the water in and turn it on but it doesn't seem to be working. All the lites are on but nothing and it's brand new too never been used.

Hi, have you given it a while? That humidifier usually takes about 10 minutes to get going. After 10 minutes or so you should be able to feel the warm mist coming out, and soon after you should feel a difference in the moisture in the air.

Can I get a replacement tank for Sunbeam humidifier model #SWM5251

Hi, unfortunately there's nowhere to purchase a replacement tank online. You can buy a new humidifier from Walmart for $25 when they replenish their stock:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sunbeam-Warm-Mist-Humidifier/12356384
Or you can get one for $29.29 branded as Holmes instead of Sunbeam from DrillSpot.com:

eBay also currently lists 3 of these humidifiers, being sold for $34.99 each (also branded as Holmes):

Vapor is not coming for sunbeam humidifier model 686

from all the information that i have come across. the unit is a cool mist. the vapor won't be apparent for the coolmist. now if it was a warm mist there is something internal that isn't making it cause any vapor. but if you done all the normal troubleshooting and nothing still and it has a filter it will more likely be a cool mist. warm mists don't have filters
