If this is a laptop, depending on what model it is, there should be 4 or 6 screws hidden behind the rubber "blocks", simpley unscrew and then GENTLY unsnap the bezel from the frame, starting at the hinge covers first. repost with exact model for more help

Broken laptop screen

There is nothing more frustrating than a broken laptop screen. Whether you have dropped your laptop or stepped on it,once the screen is cracked it has to be replaced. Having the screen repaired may cost you almost as much as a new laptop. Purchasing a new screen from the manufacturer can also be expensive. Taking the time to look online at computer message boards or resellers can help you to find a reasonably priced screen. By following a few easy steps, you can replace your cracked screen and have a functioning laptop in an afternoon.

Determine what model laptop screen will fit your laptop. Ordering a screen directly from the manufacturer can be almost as expensive as buying a new laptop. Look at online computer message boards, auction sites and retailers to find less expensive options. Disconnect any power source, including the battery pack, from your laptop before you begin. Locate and remove the four to six screws that hold the bezel, or plastic frame cover, in place. The screws sometimes have small plastic or rubber covers over them. Pull the plastic bezel away from the screen cautiously, working around the edge. Some bezels snap in and out of place. A small flat-head screwdriver may be helpful in prying the edge of the bezel away from the screen. Pull the screen forward gently. You will find two main wires behind it. The ribbon-like wire, or video cable, is usually taped in place. Remove the tape and disconnect the video cable from your broken screen. Remove the broken screen from its metal frame. Connect the new screen to the video cable and pop it into the metal frame. Replace the tape, plastic frame and screws. Power up your computer and test your new screen. Hope this helps.

How do you get the front cover off a sony kp-57ws500

There are two screws that hold the spealer panel on ( they have plastic plugs covering the two screws. Then the screen frame will have some screws along its bottom edge remove those then grab the screen frame on each side and slide upwards to disengage the screen Be careful to unplkug the wires from the screen frame before you remove the screen frame completely so as to not damage the wires.

How to removing toshiba satellite a305-s6872 screen

to remove the screen.... the front plastic bezel needs to be removed first.... Remove the rubber screw covers on the front of screen frame... then remove the screws.
then use a plastic tool...like a credit card, start at a corner and pull the front bezel towards you .. you need to unsnap the plastic bezel... it is held on by snap locks all the way around it... Pull the front bezel frame off...

then there are screws on each side of the screen holding it to the hinge post rails.... Unscrew them.... Tilt the screen forward from the top...

Unplug the Display cable (it is taped on at the plug port..... pull tape downward)
then unplug the LCD bulb Cable from the inverter...

    Digital camera screen broken

A cracked screen will cost you, but maybe not as much as you think. Instead of replacing the whole , you can spend about $300 and replace the screen yourself. All you need is a small screwdriver.

1)Turn off the power to your screen and unplug all cables connected to it.
2)Remove the battery, if one is installed.
3)Locate the covered screws around the cracked screen. Remove the rubber/plastic covers, then unscrew the screws.
4)Gently remove the plastic frame around the cracked screen and set it aside.
5)Disconnect any power cords or cables going into the LCD screen.
6)Remove the cracked screen and slide the new screen into place. Replace any tape or plastic fasteners that hold it in place.
7)Reconnect all internal cords to the screen.
8)Screw in the frame and replace all the screw covers.
9)Reconnect the power supply and all external cables to the LCD screen and switch it on.

There is one mirror inside. It is easy to remove the front plastic screen by removing the bottom fabric grill (snaps off by pulling outward like a removable speaker grill). Remove several wood screws along bottom edge of screen. Lift up the whole plastic screen frame and pull it away from the TV; but be careful with the control wires that go to the center panel, which snaps off the big screen frame easily. The mirror is right there.

    LCD replacement

The LCD screen is fixed to the base of the laptop with screws at the hinges.
Some screws are hidden behind small stuck on plastic covers, you need a thin sharp blade to lift them to reveal the screws. The frame around the LCD screen most likely held in place by plastic clips or stuck on with double sides tape. Slide a spatula between the LCD and frame and gently prize the frame free, take care not to break the plastic frame.
Once you remove the frame there are screws that fix the LCD to the lid of the laptop.
You need to lay the screew flat to unclip the plastic cover to expose the hinges and the video cable between the screen and motherboard. There are usually screws holding this cover in place.

Remove base of envision lcd monitor G19LWk

The base of the G19LWK can be removed but it takes a little work. You have to remove the black plastic case that sandwich the LCD screen. First remove all the screws on the backside of the monitor. Then, at the seam of the two casement halves, GENTLY pry the front screen frame away from the display. Work carefully all around the edge of the display to separate it a little at a time and the pull it away in one piece. Next you will find that the back casement is held to the display with plastic tabs around the perimeter. Carefully pry the tabs away from the display frame to separate and remove the back casement. Now the base mounting is exposed on the backside and held with 4 screws. Remove the screws and the base will come free. Re-assemble the casement by snapping the back on first followed by re-installing the screws. Then snap the front frame by lining of the plastic tabs and pressing the frame down evenly around the display. You are done!

I want to take the screen off but i cant get the back off

Unplug TV, let it set unpluged for maybe a half hour or more (Just for safety) Pop off the speaker covers in the front of your TV, then remove the four screws under each cover, this will will remove the bottem face plate between the two speaker covers, then under that you find (I think four) more screws to remove just under the screen. Now if it is a BIG screen find someone to help you slide the screen up about two inches so that it will be released from the hooks on the inside. The screen is not at all heavy ( less than 5-10 Lb's) just flimsy and aqward. The screen is just a plastic frame holding two very thin plastic screens, one is a magnifing glass the other is vertical lines. If you must remove these from the frame, then as you remove the screen frame from the TV lay it face down and then remove the screws from the inside of the frame, Pay close attention to the way they come out if you put either one of them in backwards it will distort your picture and you will have to do the whole thing over again. The whole thing should only need a philips screwdriver and a half hour of time. GOOD LUCK.

How to disassemble an old Hitachi projection TV (model 53sbx59b)

To remove the protection screen and lens from my Hitachi model 53SDX89BA:
    1) Remove the speaker cover from the bottom. It is attached by velcro.
    2) Remove the 4 screws on 4 plastic tabs on the bottom of the screen frame.
    3) Remove the 4 screws on the 4 metal tabs on the bottom beneath the screen frame.
    4) Pry the bottom corners loose with a wide blade screw driver and work both sides of the screen frame away from the case from the bottom up. CAUTION: The top does not snap away as the sides do. When the sides are loose let the screen frame hang down vertical and lift the screen frame straight up.
    5) The protection screen and the lens will come off together.

When reinstalling the screen frame perform the steps in reverse. Be careful when resnapping the frame back onto the case - there are two small wooden support blocks on the bottom. Don't try to force the frame back on until you are sure the bottom of the frame clears these block. You may find it easier just to remove them temporarily until the frame is reattached.
