Starter location on saturn sc1 1999

The Starter is located under the intake manifold on th back bottom side of the motor!
The only way to remove it is from under the car!
Remove the Neg Battery terminal from the battery before going under the car.
If I recall correctly, there are (2) 14 or 15mm bolts holding it to the engine block, one of them is a Blind bolt, as you will only be able to feel its location on the back side of the starter. (tip, when replacing the bolt behind the starter, either have a small magnet inside the socket to hold the bolt inside the socket while tring to locate the hole. You could also use a small piece of paper or plastic bag to wedge the bolt head to the socket so it doesn't fall out while tring to locate the hole!
You will also have a 13mm nut holding the Positive battery and Alt. cable to the starter and a 10mm nut holding the wire coming from the ignition switch.
Hope this helps!
Happy Saturn Motoring!

My 1994 pontiac transports ignition is stuck in the on position

Typically what happens is the lock cylinder falls apart and jams inside of its housing. The good news is the key needs to be in the run position in order to remove the lock cylinder. Once the steering wheel covers are removed you will see a small hole in the hosting the lock cylinder fits into. Place a small screwdriver or pick into that hole and push. This will release the locking tab that holds the lock cylinder in place. Pull out on the lock cylinder and it should pop out. A replacement can be found at your local parts store or dealer?

Wish to replace a rear view mirror on the passenger side of a 1992 honda accord wagon.

Behind the mirror on the inside of the door there will be a triangular shape piece of plastic, gently pry the plastic from the door, now that it is removed you will see a multi electrical plug for the mirror if you have electric mirrors, seperate the plug.
look in the small holes in the door where the plastic cover was removed and you should see 2 or 3 bolt heads, remove those bolts and the mirror should now be free to remove from the vehicle

I have a super shooter hamilton beach cookie press. the long plastic screw will not stay in place, the small plastic gear falls out.

Hi Jane,

The bolt isn't supposed to stay in one place. It's meant to turn, so the dough can be pushed to the end of the plastic tube. When you're putting the parts together, wind the bolt to one end of the long (7 inch) screw. Next, put the 1.5 inch circular disk on the same end of the column as the bolt. Then, stick the screw in the little hole; the bolt will just lay inside the hole. The screw will go almost all the way inside the handle. Then, attach the plastic tube, making sure to line up the indentations in the tube and on the circular disk. Then, add the cookie dough. When you press the handle (turning on the Super Shooter), the screw should turn, causing the round disk to move up and push the dough toward the tip/disk. I hope this helps. Happy Baking!

Replace power door lock actuator

Tools needed:

  • T27 torqs wrench
  • 7mm socket
  • 11mm socket
  • flat blade screwdriver (medium)
  • phiillips screwdriver (small/medium)
  • needle nose pliers
Before you start:

  • You are messing with the lock mechanism on your truck. It's likely you'll lock yourself out. TAKE THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION AND PUT THEM IN YOUR POCKET!
  • You are messing with tools in tight places. Small children should be safely placed out of earshot.

  1. Next to the "A" (front) pillar there is a small piece of triangular trim. Pull straight out on it to remove it.
  2. Pull up on the panel in front of the arm rest and holds the window controls and door lock button. It should lift up and out but wires will still be attached.
  3. At the back of the hole left by the panel removed above, there is a 7mm bolt. Remove it.
  4. Locate the reflector at the bottom of the door towards the back. Find the slot in the front and use a flat blade screwdriver to pry it out; it should come out easily. In the hole left by the reflector, find the 7mm bolt and remove it.
  5. Lift straight up on the door panel. It should come out relatively easily. Remember the wires attached to the panel that you took out 3 steps ago? Thread that panel through the hole that it normally sits in. There is no need to unplug the wires from the controls.
  6. At the bottom back of the door there may be two plastic phillips head screws holding on a piece of trim. Remove them and the grommets along with the trim they hold in. The trim will still be attached by one final bolt at the bottom, leave it.
  7. Peel back the back half liner on the door. It is glued on. You may need to tear it around the door lock. You don't need to take the whole liner off.
  8. Reach inside the door panel and remove the wire going from the latch up to the door handle by pulling the white plastic latch towards you. It will hinge out and release the threaded rod.
  9. Using a flat bladed screwdriver remove the other rod that goes from the latch up to the door lock. You can spread the pieces of plastic it is wedged into just enough to get it out.
  10. Flip the locking plastic piece that goes over the rod that comes from the manual door lock and pull that rod out of its holder.
  11. Remove the 3 screws holding the latch on using a T-27 torqs wrench.
  12. Remove the bolt holding the bottom of the window slide using an 11mm socket.

The "spinner, 3rd level wash" kept falling off. Ordered new part, no instructions with it.

I had the same problem, the 3rd level spinner falling off. Without getting into my saga story, save yourself some $$$.
-You will need a screw & washer to replace the plastic thumbtack. The screw will have to be able to screw into the female part of the spinner; the washer will keep the screw from falling out of the hole in the flat hose on the ceiling of the dishwasher.
-If you look closely at the spinner(the part that keeps falling off), you will notice it comes apart. With a flat head screwdriver, separate the 2 parts. (there are 3 parts all together; Keep the round center piece sticking out of the top peice)
--Remove the top drawer of the dishwasher to give you some room to work
-Remove the screw on the "ceiling" of the dishwasher(it is located further back from where the spinner goes) to allow the flat pastic tube to come down low enough for you to get in behind it.(set that screw aside in a safe place; you will put it back later)
-Remove the pastic thumbtack from the hole in the flat plastic tube if it is there & replace with a washer and screw.
-Take the top 2 peices of the spinner, together as assembled & screw the screw into the female portion of the spinner.
-snap on the 3rd piece of the spinner
-replace the screw you took out earlier, securing the flat plastic tube.
-place top drawer
Voila, you are done!! You just saved yourself $20+
