Question about Haier BC112G Wine Cooler

Does anyone know how to lower the temp below 45 degree's.

I keep both white wine and beer in the fridge and I like both very cold.  When I try and lower the temp it always stops at 45 degree's.  Is there anyway to bypass this.  Thanks

If the dishwasher is 10 years or older its not worth investing money tofix it! The new ones are mush more efficient and clean better!

Termperature Control

Well, the control circuit get input from thermostat.
what you need to change is right the thermostat. I do not think there is any way to lower fridge temp if you do not replace thermostat.you could put an additional switch to turn on/off manually the compressor when you need extra cold, but in this way you risk to damage the motor.
You need to change the thermostat with one that switch on at a lower temperature. to do this you may need to use a non-fabric part.

What is the correct temperature for beer? Or wine. Or pop? Please

Hi Laraine:
Beer:
- If you're British, warm. Canadian, wet. Otherwise, who cares?
Wine:
- white - chilled, red - warm. If you're Canadian, wet.
-Pop - cold, but if you're Canadian, stick to beer and wine so....... Who cares?
Cheers

Magic Chef Wine Cooler Model #MCWC50DBT will not hold correct temperature. Temps fluctuate between about 45 to often 70 degrees F. Also, often get an "EEF" error message.

Mr. Lindquist: We are experiencing essentially the same problem. Have tried replacing the temperature control board without change. Would be interested to know if you get a solution.

1 year old kitchenaid kbfs25etss01. all of a sudden the fridge temp is up to 55 degrees. i did put a bunch of water, soda and beer in the fridge tonight. is it blocking something? door seems shut.

Hi,
Watch the unit for at least a hour, to see if the temps drop. You could have had the door open too long and lost a lot of air. Normally, they can recover from this, and this is nothing to worry about. I loaded my today also and my temps went up to 45, but my door way open for about 10 mins or so. Don't check the unit for at least 1 hour. Allow time for the system to recover. It should be ok. It should be able to drop temps with in a hour or a least 10 degrees.
Get back to me if you have any more question or concerns.
Good Luck, enjoy your cold beer....

What is the temperature setting for normal wine cooling?

It's between 55 and 65 degrees fahrenheit. If you're storing a lighter red wine, you'd want to keep it on the lower end (55 degrees). And for the darker (deep) red, you'd want to keep it on the higher end (65 degrees). All white wines should be on the lower end, and below. You can drop down to 50 degrees if you'd like. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Can the U-Line 15WC Wine Captain be converted to a beer cooler? Can it be adjusted so that it gets colder?

Here is a couple of reason that answer is no. One the thermostat is designed for 45 - 60 degrees. 2 The door is only design for those temperatures as well. I believe you are going to need the bee around 34 degrees. A wine captain would never make it. Its also design for 3 different temps at once. coldest on bottom and warmest on top.

Whirlpool Beverage Center (WBC127BLS) - Won't cool enough

If you're handy with a soldering iron, it's possible to 'trick' the fridge into cooling down a few more degrees.

Long version:
If you open the door to the fridge, on the right wall near the bottom is a small plastic grate. You should be able to pull this straight out from the side wall. There is a temperature sensor attached to the back of the grate. Unplug the sensor. (The fridge will then give you a very annoying error beep and display "EE" on the readout. Pushing the °F-°C button stopped the beeping.) This sensor will change resistance with temperature. (The lower the temperature, the higher the resistance) I was reading a resistance of about 3700 ohms at 43°F and 2460 ohms at 68°F. Throw in a rough assumption that the response is linear and it works out to almost 50ohms/degree. In order to 'trick' the fridge into cooling down more, you need to drop the resistance. I was aiming for about 6 degrees cooler. Assuming the resistance response was linear, 6 degrees cooler would give me about 4000 ohms from the sensor. By jumpering a 50000 ohm resistor (yes, 50K ohm) in parallel with the sensor, I should get about 6 degrees cooler. I did the soldering, plugged the sensor back in, and ended up about 8 degrees cooler. Two days so far, everything appears good and the beer is cold.

Short version:
Put a 50K ohm resistor in parallel with the temperature sensor behind the grate on the inside right hand wall.

The temperature read out will be inaccurate forever after though. But then, I just want cold beer, my wife wants cold water, and the kids want to play with the cool blue light. I don't care what the number on the readout is.
