This link shows you your tub parts. There are 2 springs and 2 shock absorbers. Those may be bad broken or loose and one other thing to check is make sure the inside drum has not broken off of the spider assembly in the back. An easy way to check that is open the door and grab the front lip of the metal tub and try to move it up and down, you will notice a huge amount of movement if it is broken loose. The videos I posted apply to all front load washers, The first 2 are great on diagnosing and the last one shows whats left of a broken spider gear. If it is the spider support assembly then you will have to replace the entire inner tub and that is about $400 just in parts.

Ive never worked on a Kenmore but it may just be the overflow outlet. All washing machines have an overflow which will dump water out from the top of the tub if it overfills but sometimes on high fill water level, clothes can splash around and cause a "wave" of water to splash out over the overflow outlet. Check to see if the leak only occurs when you have selected high level fill.

Does it fill to the proper level or does it seem to fill fuller than usual?

I have a Kenmore front loading washer HE2 Plus.
Started leaking only 6 months old from the back over the spin motor.
I found a bolt had come out of the motor bracket causing the motor to crack a small hole in the plastic outer drum. I've been down for about a month waiting on the part and service. This is under warranty and we cant get any help any sooner from sears, not even a loaner.
Will not purchase Kenmore products again, 2nd front loader from Kenmore, 2nd problems.

Water pump is my first guess. Did you check the hoses that hook to it? The pump is in the front of unit. Give full model number to further assist you.

You have leaking water pump.

I have a kenmore front load washer, model: 417 42042100
It makes loud noise and becomes louder during the spin cycle.
The drum is loose when I inspected through the front door.
My problem is how to open the cabinet and replace any broken parts.

Leaking pump or drain connexion most likely you will have to get under to check it out. Put a several sheet to news paper under the machine and pull it out as it stands to see where the water is coming from front/back/sides Do a wash and repeat. But you will need the service of an engineer I guess unless you are good with a wrench.
