Do you have to prime a fuel pump after it has been rebuilt

when you put a new fuel pump on whatever type mower you are working on,yes its good to prime it a little so that your not cranking the juice out of your battery and easier on starter.when you prime it ,myself I put the new fuel pump on,and I pull the plug out and put a little fuel in cylinder head so when it fires it pump the fuel up faster to your carb! good luck!

How can you tell if your fuel relay is bad

Most vehicles have a "system prime" that occurs when the ignition key is moved to the "ON" position. This is where the key ends up after you start the engine. This prime runs the fuel pump a second or two to get the fuel pressure high enough for the injectors to work once you crank the engine. The prime is performed by the fuel pump relay. In a quiet area (minimal noise, no radio), sit in the vehicle and turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine. You sgould hear a 3-5 second buzz or hum. This is the fuel pump coming up to pressure. If this is not occurring, then either the relay or the pump is most likely bad.

Pump motor will not turn over without manual priming?

All pumps need to be primed. The Self-Priming pumps still require water in the basket.
If water is not staying in the plumbing system when it is turned off, then you have a leak in one of the o-rings or the shaft seal.

I had to take the motor out and put it back together now its not getting water what do I have to do. The motor works fine

If this is a self priming pump you will just have to fill the pot with water. If not you will have to open a valve and force some water through the system to prime the pump. This being done, if you still have no water you may have a suction leak keeping the pump from priming and may need a repairman at that point. Good luck.

Low fog output

I had the same problem with an American DJ, I removed the pump took it apart and cleaned it. It had a stuck valve in it. It now works fine.
