IPAQ WIFI AND THIS ROUTER-CAN'T CONNECT TO INTERNET

I have an IPAQ 4355 and a Linksys WRT150n Router. I have used my laptop for a year with this router and it's current settings. When I turn on my Ipaq, it picks up the SSID name and asks me if I want to connect. When I click on connect, it asks me for my password, which I put in. It is the correct password, but it always tells me that it is incorrect, and asks me to put the correct password in again. I have quadruple check the password, the CASE, and everything, and I have looked on the internet for weeks and can't find an answer. Could someone please help me, even if it is just telling me someone else to ask who might know? I have also downloaded all the latest ROM's and patches.
Thanks

I don't use WEP. I use PKA2 or something? I will look tonight. I know the security settings on my router are stronger and newer than on this 2003 Windows version that the Ipaq has. That is part of the problem. But, the way people post stuff on the internet, the IPAQ practically sets itself up for you, and in my case, it isn't. I even disabled the security on my router all together once. The Ipaq connected with no password, but half of the websites would not load(yahoo) for example. The Ipaq kept asking me for a storage location, but would not accept anything I picked.

I turned off the security settings and the intenet works pretty fast, but not without some problems. I suspect most of it is coming from the fact that I am using Windows 2003 Pocket PC, and a really old version of IE. I tried using Opera Mobile, but after 1 day it expired and now I don't know how to uninstall it.

Is it safe to leave my router with no security, if I live out in the country and noone else will be around to login to my network?

    Thanks,

    Matt

If you are using WEP encryption there may be a key you need to enter in order to connect. This will be a long string of letters and numbers. You can find this by looking in the admin of the router under wireless security. I'm sure it's not asking for the admin password or something easy and small. It'll be asking for the wep key.

Ya, sounds like the security settings on the router are your problem if you can turn those off and you get any kind of connetion to the web. Now once you get that and you get half a page, that is another problem all together.

Cannot connect to internet (thru WAN miniport) Error 815 remote server is not responding - invalid value for the serivce name field for this connection ...

Can your laptop can see the linksys? If it can see it, the router maybe working. Try this, First, go to the router config then try to see if its connection to the modem is PPPoE. Then try to connect to the internet, if still not working try sending it to a technician or have a premium chat with me here.

Siemens S765IP w/ router linksys wrt150n

What VoIP provider are you using?

Try connecting router directly to the modem and the laptop to the router and see if your laptop can get out onto the internet. If you cannot, then your router might not be handing out IPs to the devices on the internal network. You can enable the DHCP server on the router using the administrative web interface at http://192.168.1.1.

If you can get out onto the internet with your laptop behind your router then look at defining a DHCP reservation on your router for your VoIP phone and then forwarding the following to your phone:
5061 UDP
5060 UDP
10000-20000 UDP

These are common ports amonst the VoIP providers.

Hope this works, if not we'll give it another shot.

Cannot detect the router

What version of the router do you have 1,0 or 1,1? This is located on the bottom of your router. There is a firmware update for both models, I will provide link. Also how is your laptop connected wired or wireless? Let me know and I will try to help you troubleshoot your problem. We always can set up your router manually.
