Question about Keurig 5048 My K-Cup Reuseable Coffee Filter

1 Answer

I have solved the problem with the leaking k cup adaptor. I purchased a 1/2 faucet (black semi hard rubber) washer, that can be purchased at any hardware or plumbing store. On the back of the washer it will have 1/2F on it. It cost me $.29. It has a small hole (screw) in the center and the needle fits perfectively. Just set the washer on top of the lid of the K cup and it doesn't leak a drop. This is the real fix. Try it.

That will work for the adapter but will puncture regular kcups. I put a 1/4 inch spring behind the gasket(delta faucet part) I had to cut it down a bit. This will make it work for both the adapter and kcups.

I also have a Franke 200 series faucet and it's leaking where pullout spray attaches to supply tube after replacing it possible for sprayer hose to leak...its silver not just a nylon hose

Although I am unfamiliar with the name "Franke", I am more than familiar with this problem.
I have had it too many times to count.
I have discovered it takes an assortment of black rubber/plastic washers to fix this.
I even have them in my tool box for this very problem.
Not enough washers will cause a leak, too many and the hose will not ***** on.
I have had to experiment with different washers to get the fix.
God bless your efforts.

Cold water faucet drip. Took apart fausect, no visible sign of wear. Faucet is only seven years old. Does faucet have a basin washer that may be worn ?

Hi bobwiz...

Your faucet may be leaking because of a bad seat that the rubber/plastic washer seals on...
Check the seat condition for wear, especially a "line cut" in the brass seat from where the water has eroaded the seat, this could cause your leak.
If the seat has a "line" cut in it, then you will need to purchase a seat repair tool from your local hardware store and refinish the seat.
Check and replace your plastic/rubber washer, it is 7 yrs old and maybe hard and not seating properly.

I have a serious kitchen sink leak from the cold water faucet. I've replaced all the parts that are replaceable: spring, washer, cartridge. It's a simple job and i am fairly sure that i did it...

If it's a Delta-type faucet, disassemble it and make sure that the little rubber "cup" seal is properly seated on the spring and in the seat. It's fairly easy to get one of them in slightly crooked, which will leak like the dickens. If it doesn't want to go into the channel properly, you can use a tiny dab of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to lubricate it.

We are getting a constant drip through the faucet when both taps are turned off. please advise solution

Hi mark stopfor...
Sounds like the sealing washers are in need of replacement.
Look under the sink and find the shut off valves to the faucet.
Shut off water, remove handles from faucet, then use a wrench to remove the insert that holds the sealing washers. Replace the washers with new ones that you will have to purchase and reassemble...that should solve your leaking faucets...

Two faucet shower control hot water faucet leaks- I took of the cap, handle, and unscrewed the long screw and there was a long white place stem. Is this where the seal goes.

You will need to remove the cartridge that the screw was attached to and underneath there is a rubber cup washer with a small cone shaped spring. You need to replace the rubber washer which is called a seat and the spring ,then put cartridge and handle back on and you should be good to go. Thank you.

I have an American Standard Colony? bathtub faucet set that has been leaking at the spout. I thought the reason for the leak was the seats and rubber washers needed to be replaced. After doing so I still...

Check these items:

1. If you installed new faucet seats, did you add a little pipe joint compound to the threads before installing them?

2. Make sure the shower diverter is in the off position and you're not seeing water leaking from the spout that could be coming from the shower pipe or residual water from the shower head.

3. Make sure you have the correct faucet washers - some or tapered and some are flat and must fit the stem counter bore correctly and that the counter bore isn't damaged or the stem shaft isn't bent. Make sure the waskers are the correct hardness.

4. Make sure the screws that secure the faucet washers are tight, but not too tight. It doesn't hurt to add a little pipe joint compound to the screws.

Leaking Jado lavatory faucet

It is a rubber gasket that is leaking, Pull the cartridge with a cresent wrench. There will be a paking nut on the top of the cartridge where the handle connects. You should be able to remove this with a pair of pliers. There will be a rubber o-ring inside. Take that to the hardware to to find a replacement to it. It wont be hard to match they keep tons in stock at ace or lowes

Want a free adapter and patient enough to wait for a couple of weeks to get them?
"To receive a special adapter free of charge, call 1-800-24-BRITA or 1-800-387-6940 (CANADA)."
Call the number above and a voice prompt will give you instructions on how to get your adapter for free. 2 weeks might be too long but the best thing is it is made of stainless steel/chrome and it comes in 3 different kind of adapters with rubber washers.
