Well..first of all after your phone got wet u should have removed d battery and the sim card and even the memory card seperatly n should have dried them seperately for a couple of hours.. if you have not done that then.. its better u get your mobile serviced by your authorised dealer stating the exact condition that it got wet.because certain internal indicators that prove moisture.

Never use a phone before it dries out completely. Take out the battery and put the phone and battery in a bag of uncooked rice for a day or two to get it dry, then put the battery back in, turn it on and hope.

When you get a brand new phone, beware do not allow any moisture or water around your phone. I say this because the new phones have water detecting stickers near the battery and when this display that there was water damage the phone carrier may not help you with problems regarding your battery. You should have turned it off immediately then removed the battery and put it in a dry warm place to dry out completely.
It looks like the cell phone is damaged and it may not be repairable. You could try a cell phone repairer, I suggest you get a quote as it may not be worth repairing.

I washed my LG phone in the washing machine, what can I do?

Hello,

The first step is to leave your phone alone! DO NOT try to turn your wet cell phone on. Turning on your wet phone can permanently damage the circuitry.

Next step is find a bag of rice, preferably white. White rice can absorbs the most water. Ensure that you have enough bag of rice to completely submerge your wet cell phone.

Now, place your wet cell phone into the bag of rice. Place the phone in the middle of the bag so that you can no longer see your wet cell phone.

Next, place your bag of rice in a dry and warm place. I left my bag of rice in the back of my car on a hot day.

Leave your bag of rice to sit for several hours. I left my bag of rice in the back of my car for 8 hours. After time has elapsed, you can finally pull out your cell phone and try to turn on your phone.

Good luck!

My nokia 6300 got wet but i dryed it out and now both blue lights are showing and the phone will not turn on??? help ??

Hello,

First off how did you dry your phone ? Also how wet did it get ? Fall in deep water totally submerged and how long ?

The best way to dry a phone out is to put it in a bowl of dry rice and cover it (seperate the battery from the phone and put both in) close it and wait at LEAST 24 hours before trying to turn the phone on.

If you don't do so you risk shorting your phone out. This is probably your situation. It can damage any number of important parts of your phone.

Basically your stuck with replacing it, as having it refurbished or repaired will not be cost effective compared to replacing it.

Post back if you have any further question's or comments. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Got Wet = Blank Screen

I helped a friend with a similar problem using the solution below, so I am sure it will work unless your phone has shorted out:
  • Remove the battery from the phone immediately -- preferably right after it had gotten wet.

  • Spray the phone liberally through the keypad and inside the battery compartment with a good brand of electronic cleaner such as "CRC QD Electronic Cleaner Quick Drying Formula". It is important for the cleaner to get into the phone to wash out any water and mineral residues as they can cause a short when you put the batteries back into the phone.

  • Allow it to drain and dry, or better, blow dry it with hairdryer set on cold, or turn upside down on your dashboard for a few hours. Do NOT put the batteries back in the phone while it is drying.

  • When your phone is completely dry, put battery back in and turn it on. If it does not come on, put it on the charger. You should see the indicator come on showing "Charging".

  • After a few minutes to a half an hour, try turning your phone on. It should work if nothing has shorted.

Phone is wet please help!!!

Try to let the phone dry out by itself, set it on the window sill let it dry out for a little while, a lot of times water still gets down (internally) inside the phone, so it looks dry on the outside but it's still wet on the inside of the internal components. Try to let it dry out for a couple hours in the sunlight, caution, though, don't let the screen sit with direct sunlight bearing down on it.

I would caution on using the blowdryer, too hot of a setting can damage the internal components, so use the lowest setting possible. you can also try a low suction vacuum cleaner, also...

Ensure you:

Immediately take the battery out, and leave it out, water and electrical components don't mix.
Take out the sim card and attempt to dry it, just be careful with it because it's sensitive.

Let it sit next to a low heat source for a couple of days, periodically checking up on it. But I would'nt try to power it back up until you are confident that all the water is gone and evaporated out of the phone, otherwise you could fry the internal circuits and damage your phone.
