What sort of freq do you want ? How far out of band ? Programming of this type of radio is done via a RIB (radio interface box) box and PC with software. The radio is only designed to work within the frequency range stated on the set.
I cannot solve this problem if the shift key trick doesn't work but the www.batlabs.com site DOES still work and is a great resource.

Hi Mike, unfortunately the batlabs site does not work any more, and the "out of band" procedure is diffrent between a 5-tone and a standard gp300, the shift key trick does not work on a 5-tone, it is a completely diffrent software, thanks anyway Ian
To program frequencies outside of the rated bandsplit in the GP300/P110/GP350 is very simple, follow the listed steps:
Hold the shift key down while entering the frequency you want You must release the shift key when you enter the decimal point You must fill the entire field-use zeros(while holding down shift) When you are done hit enter like normal and the frequency you entered will appear in regular decimal like any other frequency.
