1 Answer

Why doesn't NFL trainingcamp recognize my movements on some drills such as push-ups and reverse crunches just to name a couple?

Let me know if you find out...I'm having the same problem. I'll call Nintendo's 1-800# tomorrow and see what they say...then I'll return it if they can fix the problem.

I have 18vcordless drill light by switch comes on bright but drill don't spin.before this had to switch from reverse to forward back and forth to work, fully charged but real slow.

If its an off brand economy model, they just don't last long or hold a charge after the first couple of months. Go out during Black Friday and buy a brand name one. Milwaukee preferably.

Have some one ( with engine OFF) slowly shift from 1st to Reverse, YOU be out side and watch the linkage and tranny movement. WHAT you may have is loose bracket, tranny, or support bolts. bigAl

Reverse gear crunching

Hi. Maybe a vacuum leak or a auto choke issue keeping the idle high. If the idle is too high then the reverse gear will crunch.

Injector bolt sheered on no. 4 cyl

There's a couple of tools that make bolt extraction a little easier. The first one I would try is a reverse drill bit. A reverse drill bit looks just like a standard drill bit but it drills in a counterclockwise direction instead of clockwise. If you start drilling into the center of the bolt, it will drill partially into the bolt and at some point, the tip of the bit should grab onto the bolt and twist it out since it's going in the same direction you would twist it to loosen the bolt. Sometimes, if the bolt has been torqued down too tight, a reverse drill bit won't work. If that's the case, keep drilling the hole in the center of the bolt with the reverse drill bit until you've gone about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch deep. Then try using an easy out to extract the bolt. An easy out looks kind of like a tapered drill bit. I've shown a picture of one below. (You can buy a kit that has both easy outs and reverse drill bits) Choose the right size easy out for the size of hole you just drilled. The tip of the easy out should go partially into the hole, just enough to grab onto the bolt as you twist it counterclockwise. With the easy out in the hole, put a wrench or socket on the end of it, push down hard and twist counterclockwise. That should hopefully extract the bolt.

My son has a '91 Pulsar, 5 door hatch. When he changes into reverse, the gear "grates", we beleive the clutch needs to be adjusted, is this correct? (he has no bother with any other gear...

When the engine is idling and the gear box selector is in Neutral all the internals of the gearbox are rotating. Pushing in the Clutch disconnects the drive from the engine to the gearbox but it takes a few seconds for the gears in the box to cease rotating. All the forward gears have synchromesh so there will be no crunching noise ifa forward gear is selected immediately the clutch is pushed in before allowing the gears to stop spinning. On the other hand Reverse has No synchros and therefore selecting reverse before waiting a few seconds for the gears to stop spinning will produce the crunching noise you have described.
So it pays to wait a second or two after pushing in clutch before Reverse is selected to minimise the crunch and if the clutch appears to be working correctly in normal driving ,then no adjustment is necessary.

How to unscrew with the drill. Is there a button

Yes there is a button to reverse the direction. Look right above the
trigger in the middle of the drill you will see a oblong button with an arrow on it. Push it in. The button goes through the drill. On the other side the button will have the arrow pointing in the opposite direction. Push it.
Happy Drilling !!

It does sound like a gear box issue. 1st and reverse do share some hardware inside. Have a good transmission repair person take a listen to it if you can.

Maytag Refrigerator

Usually when this happens it can be a couple of things. Push on the back wall of the freezer and see if you hear a crunching noise like walking on snow. If so then you have a defrost issue that isn't allowing the evap fan motor to push the cold air into the fresh food compartment. If not, push the door switch so the light goes out, now you should hear a fan running, if not then the evap motor has failed. If both of these are good, remove the toe kick and clean the lint and such out from under the refrigerator. This can cause the condenser to run hot and not cool properly. You should also feel air movement down there as well. Hope this helps.
