Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Hi everyone! It's not a problem, just an idea. I got an 8gb, Ipod looking mp4 player, china product. It's an Actions type, with a firmware version of QS_AK2027 9.5.60. I want to tune it up a bit. Under tuning up I mean to replace the whole skin (welcome screen, menu colors, music playing skin etc.), tune up the sound (more volume, bigger bass), make the music and video player faster (I don't need fade in-out effect for music), and if it's even poosible, to take a better music, and video codec on this stuff. The main problem is that I just can't find the appropiate firmware for this stuff on the web. Can someone help me finding it, and give some ideas how to get the job done? Thanks! Gabor from Hungary

If there is no support at the manufacturer's website, we cannot help you. A lot of the knock-off iPod-copies offer no support - this is why they cost less than the real iPod. We also do not offer support in modifying the hardware and software of an existing product, lest it void the manufacturer's warranty.

Hello,
You are probably a victim of a scam. Its not a good idea to buy mp3 players off ebay or memory sticks. A lot of them are fake or scams. Especially don't buy ones with odd names like diamond etc.. Its safer to stick with brandnames you know such as sony, ipod, etc..
You can read more about mp3 player / memory stick scams on this ebay post. http://reviews.ebay.com/Fake-MP3-MP4-Radio-FM-Player-and-How-to-fix-it-right_W0QQugidZ10000000010907516

Might buy Missil 8GB MP4 touch screen Any Suggestions?

Missil multimedia prpducts tend to have problems with the headphone jacks, I've had numerous MP3/MP4 players made by them, including the non-touch screen version of the one you're considering buying, and of all the ones I've had (probably around 15 different items from Missil), about 1 in 3 had issues with the headphone jack disconnecting from the circuit board inside.

That being said, a friend of mine has the touch screen one, and granted you have decent headphones, it has amazing sound quality for the price and all around is on par with anything of the iPod series, other than in reliability. Just make sure you get the longest warranty you can afford with it, just in case. When buying cheap electronics, the product itself will usually defect before it breaks from the users flaws.

Hi I had my ipod nano 8gb running through my computer yesterday and then when I unhooked it last night it is now telling me that there are no songs, no podcasts or anything like that on it. it is however...

Nano has many issues especially with the firmware and boards that made in china…they work good until one driver acts up and the whole system go down…look for a site that geared for this as you need to update the driver and new firmware as I did with all of my units…I am sorry I can not name the sites but look under Nano Firmware using Google and try to use Firefox browser as this browser can help you with lots of very bad sites that take over your computer that use the same names as big sites…let me know how that work for you and please do not forget to rate my service so we can improve on it with your help. God bless

Wrong firmware added in mp4 player.....

You'll need to open up your player to find the plate and board ID numbers to be able to find a compatible firmware for your player. Take a look at this post here: http://mympx.org/forum/knowledge-base-faq/41330-how-recover-dead-mp3-mp4-player.html. This will tell you how to recover your dead player using your firmware.

Hope that helps.

Mp4 nano 4gb keeps turning off

What I would recommend you to do is fo format your device and then update the firmware on the device..This problem will happen if you have some digital rights management problems on your device...Formatting the device and update the firmware is the only solution to your problem...

What size memory does your mp3 player have?

44 songs sounds about right for a 512Mb with high bitrates.
