Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies

Open Question

I have a Canon MX7600 printer; after a power outage, the printer would not go on. Repluged it in other working outlets and still dead. Is there a restart button or a fuse I can get to, to repower? ---Joe

nope.. you have to buy a new one. but if u cannot, then every printer has a electronic circuit assembly in the back. You can get that replaced at a minimal price.

SOURCE: Canon PIXMA ip4500 will not turn on

Sounds like the power outage was a power surge and destroyed your printer, especially if your printer was not plugged into a power surge protector strip. Check with others in your apartment to see if they experienced the same. If so, your landlord may be responsible and can put in a claim. If your printer is still under warranty, contact Canon. Also, check to see if this item is covered by tenant insurance, if you have coverage. Hope this helps.

Lift the printer cover until it locks in place.
The empty cartridge will be flashing.
Remove the cartridge by pushing the front clip and lifting it out of the carrier.

SOURCE: Error 5C20 on my MX7600 canon printer?

Clear the printer memory by resetting it:

  1. 1) Press and hold the button for one second. (The display will go blank.) If pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer, unplug the power cable. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the ON/OFF button again. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.

2) If this doesn't work - find the STOP button (symbolized by circle with little triangle inside), press and hold for 5 seconds until the error signal disappears.

After a brief power outage during a thunderstorm my canon i9900 will not turn on. I left it un pluged for several hours and then repluged it and still nothing. Everything else in the office works fine.

The power supply of your printer are damage due to the brief power output during the thunderstorm. Just check the fuse inside of the power supply of the printer if they have some burned or else use the Multi Tester to identify that the fuse are damage or needed for replacement.
