I just replaced the ink-cartridges of my deskjet f2480, and now it doesn't print. The two most left signallights keep blinking. what do I need to do to print again?

First take the ink out and then do a factory restore. Then put the ink back in. Then try a factory restore with the ink in it.

Left ink cartridge incorrect. It is the right ink

A trick which may work is cleaning the contacts on both the cartridge and the printer.

Make sure you've switched it off first, I'd try gently buffing with a soft dry cloth first.

HP reccommend using distilled water and cotton buds, but not alcohol based cleaning fluids.

Allow the water to evaporate before replacing cartridge and switching on.

I installed new cartidges and all the lights are blinking and the E light is bling in the print option

The safey counter has run out for the ink pad. You won't be able to do anything with the print until you reset it.

Go to the Epson website and download the reset program and run it.

They will have a disclaimer telling you that the ink pad MUST be replaced by a trained tech, or the ink will overflow and short out electrical parts. I have had my printer for over 5 years and most of my ink goes into the ink pad as I dont use it much and most of the time at least one of the print heads is clogged, my pad was no where near overflowing. I soaked up as much as I could with tissues.
If you move the catridges to the left and look down you will see the ink pad. Use rubber gloves, it is very messy
This is a utility to manage your ink. Gives an accurate count of how many ink shot are left in each cartridge. The printer told me I need a new magenta but this program says I have 13% left. It also has sepparate routines for cleaning the black and color (unfortunately not individual cartridges)

Cannot tell which inkjet color cartridge needs changing

Disregard the monitor information and rely on the printer.

On the left panel of the printer are your indicator lights and buttons. Push the button immediately to the left of the 'ink drop' light [looks like a little tear drop]. Open the cover and the printhead assembly will move to the left and stop. Look very closely and find that little 'ink drop' imprinted into the plastic in the very middle of the printer where the printhead assembly stopped. That 'ink drop' will line up wih the ink cartridge that needs replacing. Push that button on the left again and the printhead assembly will either return to the 'replace' position, or move to the next ink cartridge that needs replacing. Keep pushing that button just once at a time until the printhead assembly identifies all cartridges that need replacing and moves into the 'replace' position. This 'replace' position will be on the right side of the printer where the opening occurs that allows the top cover of the printhead assembly to open.

Change the appropriate cartridges and you should be good to go.

I have alot of 8550 ink left over from my old printer.

Same ink but, it may be hard to cut them correctly to hit the switch on the bottom of the ink loader. They will code out with 09,xxx,xxx codes if they don't move down the loader properly.
The shape is the difference in those sticks.

Change printer ink

Turn on the printer.
lower th epirnter's output tray, pull out the extension, and open the cover.
press and release the ink button.
if your ink lights is on or flashing, the printer head moves to the left, and the cartridge that need to be replaced stops under the ink out mark.
open the cartridge cover
Pinch the back tab of the empty cartridge as your left it out of the printer.
shake the ink cartridge 4 to 5 times while it is still in the package.
unwarp the new ink cartridge and lower it into the holder. Push down gently until the cartridge is firmly seated.
repeal the procedure if more than one ink cartridge is out.
close the cartridge cover.
close the printer cover and press the ink button.
The green power light flashes and the printer makes noise. charge takes about a minutes. When it's finished, the green power light stops flashing and stay on, and the red ink light should go out.
