Could be the fan motor bearing or something like dirt/dust build up around the fan itself. open up the unit to expose the fan and check for dirt and dust,, if all looks clean -- drip some tool oil on the fan motor bearing and that should solve that crazy noise.

My whirlpool side by side fridge/freezer is making a loud noise while running.

If the noise is coming from inside, the evaporator fan motor (the fan motor that circulates cool air located in the freezer section) may be the culprit. If noise is on the outside, the condenser fan motor may be the problem. This is the fan motor that removes the heat from the refrigerator to the room.

Exhaust Fan makes noise

Check to make sure that nothing is obstructing the fan blade causing the noise, if not then the bearings in the fan motor are more than likely going out causing the metal on metal noise.

Honda pilot 2007 blower fan making noise blower fan was replaced once still making noise

Either its developed the same fault or the fan motor bearing has failed, needs greasing or, if there's a belt, the belt is slipping.

Noise some times and fans dont work some times

99 out of a hundred times - when the fan motor on a window unit 'makes noise and works intermittedly,' you have a bad fan motor which will require replacing.

Sounds as if the fan motor's bearings are making noise - which - would account for the fan working only part time. The reason being is that the 'bearing noise' you are hearing - is a result of the bearings being wore out - thus it causes the fan motor to heat up and 'go off' - on the internal overload' which is built into the fan motor.

Like I said above - most commonly the 'fix' is to replace the motor.

GE Refrigerator GSS201EPWW is making a loud noise

This is the fan motor making noise but the fan motor is probably ok. The main board supplies voltage to the motor and can cause it to make strange noises.

Noise from the fan/fan motor

The bushings in the motor are worn out, replace motor. This should correct the problem.

Noise (more detail)

I think I answered this in an earlier post.

The noise is the fan banging against the motor housing. It's not a defective motor, it's a poorly designed motor.

The solution is to shim the motor mount so it is slightly out of level which will keep the fan from bouncing off the motor housing.

The reason Samsung won't service is they don't understand the problem. I've seen this a half-dozen times.

Trust me -- SHIM THE MOTOR MOUNT!
