Question about HP LaserJet 5200 Printer

1 Answer

I have 2 HP Laserjet 5200dn printers that I have installed on an oil platform. The units are 110V type (US). Both printers are brand new out of the box and both units print extremely lightly on the paper even when density is increased to 5. Serial numbers of the units are - CNBXB13581 and CNBXB14138, strangely though with a manufacture date of August 14th 2006. The toners were brand new out of the packet. Supply voltage to the printer is 117VAC 60Hz so right bang in the middle of HP's voltage range of 110V-127V. Your assistance would be appreciated as I cannot return the printers as they are installed on an oil platform in the UAE and bought from USA. Regards, Martin.

Your printers are either old stock that has deteriorated over time or "refurbished" units that do not perform as new.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: HP color laserjet 1600 wonte printe new toner color.

The supply status report is based on what the kill chip is reporting to the printer. If that particular color is not printing then it is likely that current is not flowing though a particular component in the cartridge. I would return the cartridge and get a replacement.

SOURCE: HP Laserjet 3055 All-in-one.

New cartridge means that the transfer corona is probably going out (or the controller board is sending wrong voltage) because it charges the paper to pull the toner off of the EP drum. This might be replaceable but you have to check with HP about buying one. I did not find them for sale on line but some models have them for about $25.

You need to specify what are you looking for. Is it the driver it self, for specific platform/OS. Or do you need to locate the driver which is already installed on your computer?

Want to convert hp laserjet 3055 from 110v into 220v

You maybe able to get a new 220v power supply board and swap it out in the printer.
The other way is to get a 110v to 220v step up transformer, make sure the current rating matches or greater than the printer's requirements.

My brand new hp laser 1005 says out of paper and wont feed any of the paper through?

HP LASERJET P1005
PROBLEM: it was out of paper, new paper was installed, but printer wouldn't feed or print

SOLUTION: Lift the top cover of the LaserJet (where the printed paper would come out) and close it again. This resets the printer. Now the printer should feed and print again.

Fuser error displayed on color laserjet 3700dtn printer

Try remove and replace the fuser. Still the same problem ? Perform a cold reset. This will reset the network card and set your printer to factory default. Still problems ? You have to replace the fuser unit with a new one. The part# is Q3655A (110v) and Q3656A (220v).

Good Luck

Changed power supply from 110v to 220v, now get 50.2 fuser error

The printer will have a 120v fuser, unkess that has been changed for a 220v fuser, it won't get up to temprature on 220v, hence the error message.

It needs a 220v fuser.
