If the tap under sink is open and no water is getting into the dishwasher then most likely the water inlet solenoid has packe up. You need to provide the full model number of the dishwasher if you want to know part number etc.

Is there a way to program more water in the filling program other than stopping the washer and adding water

Some machines work on the water "back pressure" and if the pressure is too high then the water will cut off prematurely in a similar way to fuelling up your car in that if you pull the trigger all the way and allow it to fill faster then the trigger cuts out. Take the nozzle out a bit and fill slowly and you get more fuel. With this in mind, throttle back the water pressure at the feed valve and see if that helps. It will take longer to fill and rinse, but should allow more water in the fill cycle.
Also, the more modern, so called "eco" or "green" machines use less water by design.

Why is it taking so much long to tank to fill?

Disassemble the valve assembly. It probably has mineral deposits in it. If this doesn't do it, replace the whole assembly. Costs 8-10 dollars

Takes forever to fill tub

yes now days all the faucets are regulated to save water so they dont fill a large tub very fast. if you take off the diffuser (the screen wher the water comes out) depending on the brand you might find a plastic disc that restricts the flow. Take that out and see if that helps. Try just taking off the screen assembly and filling the tub first. It it does not fill faster with that off then you have another problem, and taking out the restrictor plate wont help.

Wont fill with water

there is a fill valve at the back of the machine. Turn of the power. Take off the lid. Where the fill pipe comes in is a valve. Check to see if its giving a current reading or if its possibly blocked. If thats fine check back up your water source. If you take off the fill pipe shut off the water, and never work on a machine with the plug in.

Will not fill up with water before starting, it takes about 3-4 times brfore unit will run with full amount of water. loads take forever.

dish washers have a fill valve. the water supply line most likly has a net like filter that is stoped up with trash. Or fill valve is bad.
same thing happens to washing mashines. when they start filling up very slow you will TURN OFF water supply and diconect hose, look inside and there is the problem.

Water takes 45 minutes to fill, can't figure out what is wrong, water just sprays out. i have a older model at my other house and it fills in five minutes. it shouldn't take that long for the tub to fill.

try switching hoses check to see if water flows freely through the hoses if clear then the water valve has crud in the valve and you have to replace the valve or clean out

My bosch dishwasher does not fill with water (although it drains)

most bosch have the inlet valve at the end of the fill pipe and it has an anti-flood device.
try turning off the water, take off the fill pipe then reconnect it and see if this works.
taking off the fill pipe resets the anti-flood device
