I have 2005 chevy tahoe my doors all licks but my liftgate door with window stays open use to lock w all my doors? I havent check anytjing yet? I cant lock it.


Here is how it works !
Liftgate Locking Operation
The lift gate will lock any time the vehicle is shifted out of park on vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission and at vehicle speeds exceeding 5 kph with manual transmission. This happens in conjunction with auto door locks if enabled or independently of auto door locks if the feature is disabled. This ensures that the lift gate is locked anytime the vehicle is shifted out of park or when the vehicle is in motion.
The lift gate lock relay supply and coil sides receive a constant voltage through the battery voltage supply circuit and the ECC fuse. The normally closed contact is connected to ground and the control side is connected to the body control module (BCM). A lock function will occur when a door lock switch activation, keyless entry lock transmission, auto door lock function or a lift gate lock function has been received by the BCM. The BCM will then ground the control side of the lift gate lock relay. This energizes the relay and allows voltage to be applied to the lift gate lock actuator lock control circuit. Since the other side of the lift gate lock actuator is connected to the normally closed contacts of the door unlock relay to ground, the lift gate will lock. When an unlock function occurs the BCM will ground the control side of the unlock relay and the rear doors and lift gate will unlock.
The BCM also runs diagnostics on the lift gate lock relay control circuit and will set DTC B3825 as current and also send a Class 2 message to the DIC. The DIC will display REPLACE LIFTGATE FUSE to inform the driver that a fault has been detected in the lift gate lock circuit and that the lift gate is not locked. Faults that will set the DTC and cause the DIC to display the message could be any of the following:

An open or short to ground in the lift gate lock relay battery positive voltage circuit

Electric dryer will not heat,everything else is working


Unplug power cord & pull the back off and use ohm meter to
to check the heating element also check if the element is ground to the heater box. Check the thermal fuse, the cutout fuse & thermostat on the heater box. Check the operating thermostat and any others you see. Last check the centrifucal switch on the motor the heating wire goes through it. To check this switch connect ohm meter to terminals it will show open unless motor is running so take a screwdriver & lift up on switch button then it should show continuity. Hope this helps

My 1999 Toyota Avalon power seat only moves forward but not backward.


Try unbolting the seat, lift it up, operate the motor and once u find the motor you are looking for apply 12v to one wire and ground to other going to motor... If it moves forward switch the polarity and see if it operates the other way verifying the motor is functioning well. While there check for power from the switch

2004 Ford F250 cc. Installed a amp and subs behind back seat. Now when door locks button used from either door it blows the fuse. If key fob is used it functions properly. Amp is grounded to car floor behi...


You apparently picked up power for the amp from the same circuit as the door locks. Simply relocate the power for the amp to another circuit. There should be some taps available that can provide enough power for the switching portion, but do not try to pick up primary power from the fuse panel...run it directly to the battery...if you drill through the firewall be sure to install a grommet so that the line doesn't rub against the metal and short it out. Driver's window


The wiring diagrams for your 2003 GMC Sierra power window circuits are copyrighted material and cannot be posted here. However, I can describe the driver's power window circuit to you.

Battery voltage is provided to the driver's window (master) switch via the ORANGE wire at PIn #2 on the switch connector which comes from the 25 Amp Left Window Circuit breaker located in the fuse block on the left side of the dash.

There is a logic module located inside of the master switch which controls the "Auto Down" feature for the driver's window. When the switch is operated in either the "UP" or "DOWN" position, power and ground is supplied to the window lift motor via the BROWN wire (Pin #1, Connector 2) and the DARK BLUE wire (Pin #3, Connector 2) Thease wires will switch polarity dependin on whether the switch is commanding UP or DOWN.

The schematics show that the ground circuit for the driver's window motor is supplied internally by the driver's window switch module. It is most likely grounded inside the door panel itself - the schematics do not specify. To check for ground, you can test continuity to ground on BOTH the BROWN and the BLUE wires by back-probing them with the switch electrical connector plugged in and the window control switch in the NEUTRAL position. They should both have ground.

When the switch is operated, one will remain ground while the other switches to power.

I have replace the blower switch pigtail rerister still no blower working could it be the relay if it is where is it ? the blower motor and relay are the only two things left to change need help thanks


Do you have power to the blower motor?

With everything connected there should be power on both wires going to the blower motor. If there is no power than remove the blower motor relay in the fuse block under the hood. There should be power at two of the pins and two of the pins should be grounded. One pin is powered by the 50 amp Blower fuse and the other gets its power from the function selector (the switch that controls where the air comes out.

If only one pin has power than pull the 50amp blower fuse If power goes away than you know that the relay is not recieving power from the function selector. That is powered by a 15 amp fuse in the cetral fuse block (under the dash i think). If that fuse is good than check for power at the pink with black wire at the function switch. If there is power there tan check for power at the yellow with red wire and the function switch. If there is no power than you have a bad function switch.

This is a ground side controlled blower motor. The speed switch controls the path to ground. so if there is power to the blower motor on the orange with red wire you can ground the orange with black wire at the blower motor and it should run.

That should be enough info to get you started. Let me know what you find and I'll be happy to help further.

I have a new Generac 20KW Propane generator with a rtse 200A3 automatic switch. I had an electrician install the switch and make the connections from to the generator. The generator is blowing the 7.5 amp...


Sounds like the electritian wired something wrong. Control wiring for that generator should be:
N1 and N2 = 240 vac utility input
Wire 0 = ground
Wire 194 (15B) = + battery
wire 23 = transfer signal

Humming noise.....


Try to isolate the grounds of the amp and that of your head unit. I mean 'lift' the ground connection. Just connect the hot side and not the ground wire - your amp's grounding and your head unit's grounding might have a voltage loop. smile when the hum dissappears.
