I have been having problems with my 42" plasma TV from 6 mts after purchase, first i get a vertical thin line- then by default it dissapears and now for the last 1 yr i am having full grains appearing on the screen after 15 mts of the system being on and after 1/2 hr not able to view anything and it is full of graing, to add to it the same line in some times visible but now it is two lines and not one-10" from either side of the screen, can you help? the service team had visited and giving a bill which is as equal to todays TC selling price.

You have a video processor fault. It sounds like it is heat related and so a technician who knows his salt will use a can of freezer to locate the faulty processor or component and then change it at component level. There is no need for complete panels to be changed!
Always ask an Authorised Service Centre to look at these things as you will have the backing of the manufacturer after repair, if any further problems occur.

One green vertical line in 42" samsung plasma tv mfd. last 2008

A thin line, like a pencil line, all the way from the top to the bottom is most commonly associated with the display itself.
In your case a 42 inch panel. These are no longer available from most manufacturers, and even if it were it would be cost prohibitive
Something like: Core Price 250.00 Part Price 1200.00
Total Price 1450.00
.plus about 150.00 shipping because it is considered oversized

I think that you have dry solder joints on either the vertical scan board, the focus board, the line output stage, or the chroma panel. Hope this helps.

42HDS69 42 in. Plasma has several thin green vertical lines in middle of screen

If the set is still in warranty, call for warranty service. If not and you feel comfortable working on the set, carefully open up the back and reseat all of hte cables and connectors. This can be caused by marginal connections inside the set.

Keep us posted on your progress and results.
