The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Largan chameleon xp software doesn't work ( mr photo 1.6 ) on my windows xp sp3... HELP !! I can't take pictures off my camera !! Camera works fine.

1) XP should recognise you camera as a new hard drive or mass storage device. Plug it in, click on my computer and see if there's a new device there.

If so double click on the device, cut or copy and paste pictures to your computer.

2) Get a universal card reader, plug you camera card into that and the reader into your PC. Again your looking for a new device in my computer.

3) Uninstall and re-install the software.

How can i get the pictures to my computer, xp

You MUST install the PhoTags software onto the computer before connecting the camera to the computer (at least according to the Vivtar website). If you no longer have the CD that came with the camera, then you'll have to use a card reader and put the memory card into that to get the images from the camera onto the computer.

Picture dawnload

It may have something to do with the amount of memory available on your computer or the limit on the amount of memory your email can receive. Make sure you have the same operating system (vista vs. windows xp vs. mac).
