Any damage to that diaphram will cause the cleaner to not work. If it is only 6 months old then it is under warranty. any pool store should be able to get you a new diaphram at no cost. bring your paperwork with you to show proof of purchase.

Hose keeps going in circle

check the returns and make sure that they are properly set. Should be pointing 45º down. If the jets are pointing up the current tends to push the hose in such a way that it steers the cleaner in circles. I'm assuming you have backwashed or cleaned the filter and the suction is ok. suction cleaners do this when they get both too much or not enough suction.

My barracuda is not moving and i fell is not pulsating eather why?

If your pool cleaner is moving slowly and not pulsating, there are a couple things that you will want to check and/or adjust. Make sure that the main drain is closed. It is a common problem with these pool cleaners not operating correctly if the drain is not closed. Use your flow gauge to make sure that there is adequate flow. Poor water flow through the cleaner can cause these problems. Backwash the filter and clean out any skimmer baskets. Clogs can cause loss of suction and prevent movement. Make sure that the diaphragm is not damaged. Check for hose leaks and air entering the line at all connections.

No suction on my baracuda pool cleaner

There are several things that you will want to try if you are not getting adequate suction on these pool cleaners. First and foremost, make sure that you are getting proper water flow to the cleaner. If you are not, the cleaner will not move until the water flow is increased. Clean your baskets and your filter and make sure that they are clear of debris and blockages. Also, make sure that you do not have any leaks in your hoses and connections. Any leakage of air will cause the cleaner not to move correctly.

Cleaner is almost new, right pressure, not clogged, has always moved really slowly. I used to have a G2 and it hustled around my pool, I have installed a whole new filter system and this new cleaner is...

The G4 is actually a pretty decent cleaner. For all practical purposes they work about the same as the G3, G2, and the old Alpha 2 models. By the way the G2 is a very new model, so I assume you mean you had an Alpha 2. Either way I can suggest a few thing to check, but if the cleaner is new and your equipment is all functioning fine take it back to store and have them check it. I have about 10 of these cleaners in my pools, and they function fine for at least the first year. After that depending on several things can be another story. You said you have the right pressure, but make sure you are checking the actual suction as well. If the filter or a return line is clogged your pressure can go high, but have poor suction. Also if your suction is poor due to a clogged line, basket, or impeller, but your filter is dirty, the pressure may actually show fine on the gauge, but in reality you can have poor flow. Your cleaner should have come with a suction gauge that you put on the end of the hose in place of the cleaner. It's a clear tube with a spring and plastic piece inside that indicates high, low, or normal. Use this to check your suction. If you don't have one see if you can get one at the local pool supply house, they may even have one you can borrow. I will assume you know your equipment well enough to make sure you don't have a valve turned so that too much of your suction is going to the skimmer or drain instead of the cleaner. (or if your using a diverter in the skimmer, that it is set to max). If not let me know and we can discuss that. If you have good suction the diaphragm will pulse rapidly indicating you have enough suction. You can even unscrew the rear cassette from the cleaner and just leave it hanging in the water. If this doesn't pulsate then either the diaphragm is bad or you do not have enough suction - it's as simple as that. So take the rear cassette apart pull out the inner tube with the diaphragm, and check it closely. Pull the diaphragm off the tube, remove the small retaining ring and inspect inside and out all the way around where the ring goes. very often there is a tear here that is hard to see when installed. There are a few other things you can check beyond this. All have to do with play or slop between other parts, but if your cleaner if fairly new this should not be an issue. If the cleaner is still not performing well, I recommend either taking it into a store (most stores will inspect for free because they wanna sell you parts), or call a pool guy to come check it out, that way he can check out all your equipment, and everything else. Don't get too discouraged these cleaner really are pretty good cleaners, especially for the first year or two. Good Luck!

Zodiac pool cleaner stops and starts and sometimes just stops working completely. Checked diaphram. replaced it with a new one. pool is forever getting green ... at my wits end... bout to pull my hair...

With these pool cleaners, there are several things that can cause a lack of suction and movement. Make sure that the main drain and all suction lines are closed except the line you are using. Make sure there is no debris in the flapper or filter that could be clogging suction. Check the hose are ensure that there are no leaks. Check the pump basket for looseness, cracks, and worn or missing o-rings.

Intermittent suction of my baracuda pool cleaner

If your pool cleaner is losing suction, there are several things that you need to check. Check the diaphragm for damage. Make sure that you don't have air leaking into the cleaner. Check all of the returns, hose, and connections for cracks or improper connections. Make sure that the filter is backwashed and that there are no obstructions in the filter basket.

The Zodiac Pacer Baracuda keeps turning on its side of upside down. what is causing this?

Probably not getting enough suction to hold it down on the bottom. Have you backwashed your filter ? Try that and see what happens

Changed the fin on the baracuda, but it still does not move around the pool, can fill the suction if I lift it up, but it does not move.

If you have good suction at the head you may have a bad diaprham or something stuck in it. If you have suction but it is weak check for cracks in hoses or you may have a clog in your pump impeller.
