Why not employ an engineer from an LG Service Department to repair it? Most power supplies run hot and if the PCBoard is not serviceable, surely you should contact the manufacturer and lodge a complaint as items of high value should last a reasonable length of time.

Try changing the input device to something you are sure works. If problem persists, it can be due to dry/leaky capacitors and/or dry solder on PCB. Anyhow, this might then require attention by a qualified service technician.

Tv picture flashes off and on

Just check whether the power outlet is ok, by connecting the TV to a different power outlet. If it does not work, this could be a defect due to dry solder/component failure in the PCB. This may need attention by a qualified service technician.

The sound in my LG LCD 32 inch tv has gone . Rest the picture is coming fine and there is no problem with display. Also the tv when connected to external CD player the sound comes from the player speakers....

if the speaker was not a problem the possibility is with in amplifier IC ( integrated circuit ) or at the signal audio processor, how will you know it through voltage checking. now it needs trouble shooting it can be done by a trained technician to fix the problem. now if you can do it with your own what you need is a complete electronic device and as will as a knowledge at least in repairing any electronic equipment. you can inquire price list for parts replacement at www.digikey.com just give the model no.of your unit. good luck hope this may help.

Samsung 32'' LCD (LA32R81B) is as good as dead

I would venture to say it is the power supply first. Capacitors in LCD power supply's frequently go bad after a year or two. LCD displays very seldom go bad and I have not seen one kill a set completely.

Samsung 32" LCD (LA32R81B) is as good as dead

Hi, First, you took it to two techs who could look at it, didn't like what either had to say and now you want an opinion from someone who can't look at it? Obviously troubleshooting it long distance is out of the question, so you want a business opinion. OK - So, If I were you, here is how I would look at it. The manufacturer agreed to work with you and you have it in writing based on a diagnosis from one of their trained techs. You do not have to pay for any repair before it is done. Let them fix it and when they tell you it is ready, have them turn it on for you before you pay for it or leave the shop. You are also entitled to any parts that were replaced as you paid for them. If it is not fixed or they indicate there was another problem or more cost you can refuse and go back to Samsung for a remedy. There are laws in most countries to protect consumers from this kind of thing. Good Luck to you!
