HI- no the camera app won't take pictures, the shutter remains closed and camera icon to take teh picture is greyed out. I'm pretty sure it's a software issue but don't know how to solve. I have already done re-booted etc.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

After changing batteries the shutter activates on any setting

Four possibilities:
(seriously)
1. No SD memory card in camera or not seated.
2. Using a 16GB (or larger) SDHC memory card - not supported
3. SD memory lock switch is on (on the memory card itself)
4. You may be "sliding" the shutter switch, which takes a picture but does not save it. This is used for testing your exposure. You must press the shutter button straight down (I know this sounds silly, but I had to post this for anyone else that may have a similar issue).

Hope this helps!

Which button or switch are you using to take a picture?
