After working just fine for months, yesterday the battery went down faster than normal.I plugged it in to charge it overnight and by morning there was progress on the charge bar

there was or was not progress on the charge bar.

if there was then you probably just used it a whole lot that day or had wifi turned on, bluetooth turned on, and brightness up. those are battery drianers.

if there was not progress then you need a new battery, search craigslist for it and there will be people willing to fix that for you for around $40

How do I tell if my Tom Tom is charging on the computer. While on the computer charging I am unable to use the touch screen to see if battery is charging or full. How long should it take to charge on...

Plug the USB terminal into a port and when the unit asks you if you want to connect to the computer tap No. If your screen displays a status bar, tap in the middle of the bar and you will see a map of the last trip. The battery gage will appear on the top right corner, along with the satellites.

If you do not have an old itinerary stored, plan one in the neigbourhood so as to make the status bar appear and tap in the middle of it.

Ipod says charged, but when i unplug it it cuts

  1. First thing to do is restore it to factory settings to see if that corrects the problem.
  2. Make sure you’ve installed the latest version of iTunes.
  3. Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
  4. After a few moments, it will appear in the Source pane in iTunes.
  5. Select your iPod in the Source pane and you will see information about it appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
  6. Click the Restore button. A window will appear asking "Are you sure you want to restore the iPod "iPod" to its factory settings? All of your songs and other data will be erased."
  7. Click Restore again. (If you're on a Mac, you'll then need to type in your password.)
  8. During stage 1 of the restore, a progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started. When this stage is completed, iTunes will instruct you to leave iPod connected to your computer to complete restore.
  9. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
  10. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.
If all else fails and the battery is bad, replace the battery. Here is a video that will show you just how easy it is. No need to pay Apple any more money than you already did to repair it.

I hope this helps and good luck!

My Samsung A707 acts like it's trying to restart continuously. It gets 80% through the start up (based on progress bar on bottom of display) and then restarts again.

This type of thing usually happens when your phone is connected to charger that provides insufficient or far more power that is required to charge your phone.........but if your phone is not connected to charger then first put a piece of paper or any thin material with your battery in order to get it more closer to jumper(the terminals at phone where battery is to be conected) if the problem still exists then try to change your battery.

My Samsung SGH-L770 kepps on restarting

i think there is a problem with the phone, you need to have it repaired and evaluated. You can also try using a different battery on the phone to isolate the issue.

Phone will not charge

Hello Klord3,

The problem is most likely the battery which you can purchase HERE
---If you know someone with the same phone, ask to try theres.

It's more of a personal choice of if you want to try purchasing a battery or upgrading your phone. You can then put your SIM card in the new phone and it's as simple as that. (phone must be for the same service provider as the old one)

Thank you for choosing Fixya!

I could see the progress in the battery down right corner. If entire battery becomes black then it is full charged. However I have a problem of the charge getting discharged very fast i.e., when the player is NOT powered OFF.

I got the same problem. I even tried to plug the battery to the second battery charging slot, still couldn't get it back to life. But the Ipaq screen lights on with progress bar progress for about 5 seconds, then dead again. I even doubted the battery was toasted.
I gave it a final shot:
1. Remove the battery, and then put it back.
2. While the screen lights on, within 2 seconds, cold reset the unit by press the hole with stylus and push the power button at top in the same time.
In my case, the progress bar will keep going until I see the tap screen instruction and everything back to normal. But it reminds me that the removable battery is totally discharged. So I put it in cradle and I am able to synch it with my PC. Everything seems o.k. while it sits in the cradle, except the charging light won't turn red.
When I remove it from the cradle, it still lights on, battery shows 99% which is healthy. but when I turned it off, it won't start anymore. I have to repeat the above steps to revive it. Sometimes I have to remove the battery and wait for a while and then put it back, so that the screen can light on to give me chance to cold reset.
Conclusion: Maybe need a new battery. I will check Ebay to get one.
Please post if you have other solutions.
