Hi, You have to make sure you are using the "audio out" from the dvd/surround into the "audio in" on your TV also in some case TVs will need to change the "input" with your remote to see where you connected your dvd/sur also some TVs have a switch for "n" or "off" for internal speakers and also you could have that option in your audio menu on your TV, Hope it help, good luck. Mike
yes you need to connect audio out from the tv to audio in on the dvd surround. you need the red/white phono to phono leads, simply connect together and select audio (av,au) on the input selection.
Your LG tv should have an optical output socket,if your surround system has one as well,(input) then connect an optical lead from the tv to the system, then select either input 1 or opti 1(depending on your system) you will then get the sound from whatever you are watching on the tv
HI, connect audio output from tv to system, you may have to turn this on or turn up in tv menu for some sharp tvs, this should get sound for tv and dvd and anything else you hook up to tv.
I have a sts92 system and run the tv sound through it for surround sound. My Tv has an AV out option, so I ran component cable from the AV out on the TV to the AV in on the sts92. When watching TV, turn on the theater system and set the function to AV in.
if ur surround hasnt got digital in then it wont work also its better to use the red white and yellow wire, i have hdmi and them wires hooked up and i have sound through everythin all i have to do is put it on aux 2, try it out
