It sounds like to me that when the switch was replaced - a short circuit my have happened ( ? ),, it happens from time to time,, I would check the fuse box and look for a blown fuse or two blown fuses. normally the radio has it's own fuse and the heater has it's own fuse,, but on a car that old you never know when someone has fixed something / back yarded something,,, I would start with the fusebox first. if the fuses are ok, then trace the power lines ( positive and negative ) from the radio and the heater and see where they conect to or not conected to.
let me know what you find out --- I can help walk you through the next steps after that.

1997 honda accord raido and heater wont turn off

Sounds like a short or bad relay have you tried swaping relays around... a lot of them are the same so take 2 that look alike same rateings and terminals and swap them... of course your looking for the one that goes to the heater with the heater on pull them one at a time till the heater goes off then swap that for another and see if it will work correctly

91 honda accord fan stars when you shut off engine

There are two fan switches on that car;
The main one turns the fan on and off when the ignition is on and the car is running.
The second switch powers the fan if the ignition is off and the engine temperature is too high, to cool the engine off if it was just shut down.
It sounds like your main fan switch has gone bad and needs to be replaced since it's not sending any signal to the fan, while the engine is running.

1992 honda accord radio and ac stopped working

Make sure your fan is working properly. When you turn on the heater you are forcing the fan to cool the radiator. It may not be turning on automatically when it is supposed to. Let us know if this helps..

Speedometer not working in 1995 Honda Accord. When the speedomter does not work I notice that the heat fan stops blowing. The problem is sporadic but is getting worse.

Ignition switch? when it doesnt work, slowly try to twist the key in either direction, and see if they come back to life, if so, replace the ignition switch.

1989 honda accord DX My radio and heater motor both quit working at the same time, I checked the fuses and even changed the wiring harness on the ignition, and neither one work, please HELP

I am currently working on the same problem, I think you will find that with the car running, if you turn the ignition off very very slowly there is a spot about half a millimeter before the engine shuts off that the heater and radio will work. but it won't stay there. let me know if this is the same problem. 1991 Accord, stereo stolen, now no heater fan or cig lighter

while snagging your tunes, these guys may have disconnected a ground wire, pull out the heater fuse, check to see if 12v is getting to the fuse at box, if so and the fuse is good,it's a ground or switch issue, they probably have a book on your car at the library with the wiring diagram, they have a copier too

95 accord, heater stays on after i shut it off????

Sounds like the ignition switch is shorted, it may have overheated and the wires may be touching. On a Honda the electrical part of the ignition switch can be replaced without removing the mechanical part. Remove the column cover and check for burnt wires at the switch.

1982 honda accord stopping while driving

I had the same problem. Replace the ignition switch under dash by the steering wheel. Piece of cake! Under $50 part and easy to replace.

Good luck!
