COMPUTER SHUTS OFF

There are several reasons for Auto shutdown of the PC, it can shutdown due to CPU processor overheating, Hardware conflict, SMPS voltage supply issue. what ever may be the reason, if you have knowledge of assembling then you can try below steps
1. Open the cpu cabinet and remove the heatsink then clean it.
2. clean the CPU Fan (use some spray like WD40)
3. Remove the old heat sink paste from the processor and apply heatsink paste and refix all the hardware.
4. check the voltage supply of the SMPS (power supply unit)
otherwise you can call computer hardware engineer and get the problem fixed.

I turn on my pc and its blank screen on it but before i turned it on i removed fan to change it but all so removed the proccer to get to it and no its blank with no bios please help its all i have...

Try unplugging the cord & resetting the bios by moving jp1 for 15 secs. Them to be sure, remove the bios battery for another 10 secs. Put the battery back, plug it in & see if you get a screen. If you do, press delete to enter BIOS. Rest the time & date & anything else you messed with. If it shuts down again, you're overheating the cpu. Meaning, the fan/heatasink isn't seated all the way or you need to apply new grease/thermal paste. If the latter is required, get artic silver or better. Remove all old grease/paste with a rag. Then re assemble. It takes about 30-60 secs for the cpu to shut down with in adequate cooling.

Sir please tel me which motherboard is compatable for i3 530 & i3 540 processors

Hi Mate,

You are looking for motherboards that are either pin 1156 or 1155 please see the links below, mainly most 1155 are compatible with the above, 1156 are compatible but then some only support i5 and i7, when you see a 1155/1156 pin board make sure you check on the hardware manufactures website for specifications as most of them actually "TEST" most CPU's for quality assurance purposes and will have a spreadsheet which tells you if i3 530 & i3 540 is compatible. for ex: http://www.asus.com.au/product.aspx?P_ID=qWmZUAdNKeozTOXb&templete=2 as you can see asus have a CPU support section and specifies your cpu's and if they will work.

I have ASrock P4vm800,Prescott800,Pentium 4 Pro.But i need a help. When it is powered up nothing happenes except the system unit ligth up,& chassis font panel ligth is blinking Continously.Cpu fan...

There is a verity of things you can check & or replace. You mentioned the CPU fan is not turning. This is very very important.
This suggests possible CPU fan is defective. Average life span for a CPU fan is 5 years or 50,000 hours. Your MB uses Intel PGA socket 478. For a replacement heatsink & fan assembly open the link provided;
http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-A4012-Cooler-Intel-Socket/dp/B000FEW8JW/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_0
A new heatsink assembly will come with a new fan attached to the heatsink.
It should also come with new thermal past or thermal tape attached to the bottom of the heatsink assembly.

As to the front panel LED light blinking continuously.
If the LED light is red in color this means your primary hard disk drive is trying to load windows.
My suggestion is for you to replace the CPU heatsink assembly first.
No need to remove the CPU from its socket at this time.
If you never replaced the Heatsink & fan assembly watch the video included below;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OB1hxxKdec
Once completed your system should function correctly.
If it doesn't, post you’re finding here & I'll help you further.

Hello,

you need a new CPU cooler and the part you will be needing is called 'CPU COOLER". Go to any computer accessories shop/store within your vicinity and purchase another CPU cooler. You will need to remove the one from your motherboard and use it as a sample to get another one so that you can get exact size of cooler that will fit your CPU because CPU coolers varies in size and shape.

Good luck.

No sound after 5 minutes

If this is hardware, then something is getting hot inside the machine... that means unscrewing, and vacuuming the inside (your cpu fan may be getting inefficient)
if it's software, you simply backup and reinstall windows. backup using Migration software, which is in start menu, all programs, accessories, system tools, files & settings etc. Reinstall using onboard recovery, or via restore disks, or go buy a nice new copy of windows 7.

System shuts down at times. May take several times to try and reboot. When I try to reinstall windows with a CD Recovery Disk, I get an error which says Bios ACPI not comliant and will not go any further....

Enter you're bios and disable ACPI. Wait until you have at least SP2 installed before enabling ACPI. While in the bios open, Hardware Monitor & MISC Setup. Watch the CPU temp. See page 53 in you're manual.
You're system shutting down may be caused by the CPU over heating. This is a safety feature for all MBs. Suggest that you remove the CPU heat-sink assembly from the CPU. Check the thermal past / tap. If it is dried or cracked replace. Remove the old using house hold alcohol on a clean rag. (Not dripping wet). At this point there is no need to remove the CPU. Clean the CPU's fan and blow out any dust build-up within the assembly. The heat build up will cause you're system from booting untill the CPU cools. This is why it seems to take awhile for you're system to boot.

No video and no posting

Your GA-7N400 PRO2 motherboard does not have a built-in video graphics card. You need to install an AGP 8x graphics card into the AGP slot on the motherboard. When you removed the heat-sink & fan assembly the CPU starts to over heat & the CPU will shut down the system. That's why you heard the, european ambulance sound.
If it wouldn’t, you would fry the CPU. Make sure you add thermal grease on to the CPU before re-assembling the heat-sink & fan. Don't forget to plug the CPU fan power connector on to the board.

My CPU is starting but my monitor is not the light

First check your input devices, the keyboard & Mouse. If they are OK, i.e. no bent pins or try a working keyboard & mouse. If the motherboard beeps more than twice then remove the RAM from the slot, clean the contact points. If that too does not work check all connections as snug-tight.Remove all hardware accessories except for the HDD. Use the bootable OS disc and reload the OS..............sodeep
