Please thoroughly clean your mouse and the surface that you use it on with a little windex on a paper towel or a wrung out windex wipe. These accumulate a lot of dust and oils easily and so does the surface of your desk or PC or where you are using it. Do not get the mouse wet.

After cleaning your mouse and surface, you might check your mouse settings this way:

>Start
>Control Panel
>Right click on Mouse ( or Mouse and pointing Devices)
>Open
>In this window you can check the settings for your mouse. Make any changes very slowly and see if it helps to slow down your mouse a bit.

Good Luck to you. A rating of this answer would be appreciated.

It is a common problem .
you have to just disconnect and reconnect the mouse after restarting the system .
the problem will be solved .

Hi, I have targus usb to 232 serialcable , model

To use a pao88 on Win7 64bit you will need to have Win7 Ultimate, Professional or Enterprise edition AND your computers processor must support hardware virtualisation.
Dowload and install the latest version of XP Mode.
Install the cable in XP mode.
Turn on USB compatibility in XP mode.
Cable will now be accessable in Win7 64bit
I connected and ran a successfull diagnostic test on an old serial modem without issue.

No recognition by OS

Contact your provider and try to inquire whether what OS will the device run only. If the device comes with a container, try to read some instructions there on how to make it run and what particular OS it will run.

Change batteries in a targus portable mouse

I found the user guide in French. It says to slide back the cover behind the Logo on top.
also found it in English:

Installing the Batteries
Optical Mouse
1 Remove the battery cover from the top of the mouse by
pressing the top center (over the Targus logo) and
sliding it back.
2 Insert the supplied batteries , making sure that the
positive (+) and negative (-) ends of each battery match
the polarity indicators inside the battery housing.
WARNINGS: When replacing the batteries, you may use
alkaline or other heavy-duty NiMH batteries. Never
combine an alkaline with a NiMH battery in a device.
Avoid mixing new and used batteries in a device.
3 Slide the battery cover back in to position until it “clicks”
firmly into place.
4 Turn on the mouse by sliding the on/off switch on the
bottom of the mouse to the “on” position.
The optical sensor, located on the bottom of the mouse,
glows red.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

How to set up and use targus wireless computer mouse model#amw26

Under the mouse there should be a usb stick attached to the mouse which most likely should slide out from the mouse. It also appears that the plastic cover behind the two buttons (this cover has targus written on it) Should come off. After you remove the usb stick there might be a button somewhere on the bottom of the mouse that you should be able to press to get the battery cover to pop up. Then you should be able to pull up on the battery cover and remove it from the mouse. This mouse takes two AA batteries. Once the batteries are installed then plug the usb stick into any of the usb ports on the computer. The computer should recognize the drivers for this mouse (if you are using Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Mac OS X [or higher]). If the drivers are not immediately recognized then restart your computer and the computer should then recognize the mouse. If this still does not happen then let me know. Also there is software that can be downloaded from the Targus website for the tilt wheel as it has some added capabilities that can be set using this software. The link for that software is here ------> http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=AMW26US

I hope this helps, and enjoy that mouse, it looks pretty nice!
