Question about Sony CPD Computers & Internet

Open Question

Hi there I hace a Sony CPD200ES monitor that had the video input cable cut off and I don"t have the cutoff part any more. I have a cable that I removed from a junk monitor (a Datatrain DC509) but not all of the wires have the same colour code, Actually the Sony has a couple more wires than the Datatrain cable has. I Need to know which colour wires on the Sony went to which pins on the (missing) connector. Thanks in advance, Bob C

SOURCE: need pin out info for aqua vu 4 pin connector

I figured it out:

Here goes: There are 4 wires inside the Aqua Vu cable that runs to the underwater part of the cam.

Red = Hot or 12 volt power from battery postive (red) terminal

Black = Ground - ground to battery negative terminal

White= Video input (or center of video coax)

Green= Infrared lighting control, if you ground the green wire against the black/ground, you will see

that it switches ON the infrared or "Christmas" lights. Simply put a switch on the green wire after you ground it, so you can switch your IR's on and off.

SOURCE: I have a Sony monitor model GDM 20 E01 defected ,need another

maruan, That's was a nice monitor,, yes there are some monitors that still use the RGB BNC, but your computer still has a standard monitor connection or DVI from the video card, a new monitor will come with a cable.  Prices are down now on LCD's - the all-purpose LCD that are PC and TV compatible have those connections but they aren't as nice. randy320sgi

If your monitor has both VGA and DVI video inputs and does not auto-detect the video inputs then you need to go into the monitor's Menu and select the DVI video input.

Monitor not even powering up? Is it a cable or a defective monitor or am I just missing the "ON" button. I really don't want to drag this back to the store 30 miles away.

Most modern monitors have DVI and VGA input; it could be a setting issue such as having your monitor select the correct input. As long as your computer is on, the monitor should automatically come out of standby mode and fully power up (provided it's not on sleep mode or screen saver of course).

The problem might be with your ram. Try taking it out and putting it back in. You might also have a problem with the video card. Make sure it is secure and screwed in.

There's a problem with the video out. I would suggest trying to use a video card for video. You could also try resetting the cmos but I doubt it will fix things...more than likely you've got an issue with the motherboard's onboard GPU.

you have a rgb connection or a dvi connection.

do not engineer your own version of a vga/dvi cable.

just go and buy a new cable, which should be cheap

How to connect a sony monitor no tv tuner to a cable box

It's unlikely that you'll be able to use a computer monitor as a television.

Cable boxes have specific outputs, and computer monitors have specific inputs. They generally don't align with one another.

However, your monitor may have VGA inputs on it, and your cable box may have a VGA output (though unlikely).

If you can provide the model number of your cable box, and your monitor, I'll be able to help you more.
