They can, if they die inside your pc... say below the keys of your keyboard they can clog the strokes and some keys will not function (properly), fact.
They can clog other things and simply act as large dust grains on circuitry, which could lead to technical problems.

It is good to keep the ants away from PC, one good start is to not eat, drink, put or spill anything near the PC or any valuable electronics.

They are trouble as alive as well, they can cut through any soft plastic layer to form their nest. It has been observed in the past. They generally prefer the warmer components or which generate EM field.

Keyboard of FMV-7000NA2 is not functioning

Is the power coming into the system? Does the charging light lights on?
If it is the case then replace the charger.
If it is not the case charging circuit should be replaced. Small work not very costly. But if you entire motherboard is damaged by high voltage or a fluid contamination or ants going into the motherboard, then you will have to replace the motherboard.

Powers then shut down

Try another Cord/Charger with the EXACT same power specs. What happens when you push the on button? Fan spins? LED's blink? Ant thing on the screen? Has there been any damage? Drop?

When playing video on my Acer 5534 laptop, it get's really hot, and causes a hissing sound from the speakers. I have no idea, and the Acer website was of no help to me.

Your problem could be a hardware problem. Probably the fan is not cooling the audio or the video chip ant those components are getting too hot and make the hissing sound.
You maybe want to contact Acer customer service for repair before damaging much more those components.

The charging indicator light no longer comes on when the laptop is plugged in. Just replaced the battery. Also tried a different power cord.

Possibly a failed or damaged charging port (does it feel loose)? After that, charger may not be chucking out the voltage (19.5 volts)? Test with multimeter set to DV volts, with one probe on the inside of the plug ant the other on the outside.

Does the charger LED light blink when connected (sign that power is not making a circuit)

If the above fail to work, then the problem is with the connector on the mobo, this may just be a Charger port needing replacing (wired or soldered version), or the charging circuit of the motherboard gone

I'm having problems upgrading the RAM in my Packard Bell Easy Note Argo C. I bought 2G of the exact same RAM that is already inside but it's not working. What shall I do?

It is not that you can add any amount pf RAM to ant PC/laptop. Each motherboard has the TAM quantity fixed and you cant exceed it. It may be less than that quantity or equal but not more. So must be the case with you.

Inside of my laptop is full of ants. What do? ):

Wrap it in plastic wrap, or a ziplock bagie. Try to remove all of the air. Put it in the refrigerator for 3 days. You can pay a shop to vacuum out the laptop for about $25,

Keyboard and Mouse stopped working.

Ants in the motherboard, Are they on Drugs ?
The keypad, connects to the motherboard via an additional ribbon cable usually, so it,s not always a motherboard issue.
i think they saw you coming, and just trying to make a fast buck.
If the externals working fine, carry on with them and save your money for another laptop.
When you buy a new 1, take it to whoever told you there were ants, in the motherboard, and bounce it straight off the back of his head.
