HI basri, When you first turn you computer on there is a brief screen that tells you what key to press to get in the BIOS, normally Esc, F8, or F12, but each system is different. As the computer is turn on, press the key over and over quickly so you don't miss it. Be careful changing settings in the BIOS, you can seriously mess up your computer. If that is not what you meant, but wqant to upgrade your BIOS, here is an article explaining the procedure. http://www.wikihow.com/Update-Your-Computer's-BIOS Hope that helps

Forgeting of bios password

This can usually be accomplished via hardware or software. If the unit has a CMOS battery powering the BIOS, you have to gain access to the motherboard to reset the bios via jumper pins. If the BIOS relies on the lithium battery pack, just remove it for 10 minutes.
There are apparently software tools out there that can reset the bios like http://www.biospasswordrecovery.com/

When I unplug the mains adaptor on my laptop the screen goes brighter and then duller when the mains reapplied. How do I change it around

This is usually a BIOS adjustable feature. During startup, press the proper key (*) to enter BIOS. Look for LCD or something that would deal with brightness. Make the adjustment as desired.
You can adjust the brightness while running the computer using (usually) the function key and the brightness key. But only the BIOS adjustment will be permanent.

(*) Each computer manufacturer has their own key to get into BIOS so Google for your brand to see which key it is. Usually f2 or f10.
